I'm certainly no expert, but I do think the neck is strong from twisting and snatching. I've seen many ugly face mask tackles, but no injuries. Anyone know of any. I think a hat or knee to the face would suck big time. Saw a guys thumb get caught between two hats and explode.

Yeah my coach said a lot of things.
My coach never told me the dangers of a facemask being ripped off and a knee or helmet hitting me in my exposed face. I apologize. Also high school was a long time ago and a lot of weed and alcohol in between.
