Reminded me too much of Fairly. Which would want to see a suspension and I am surprised the SEC hasn't stepped in sorta like the hit to the head the Ole Miss player did.

Saban can't control what Pinkel mentions, just how the player responded. And it's not about impact, so much as doing what's right. Fanning fricked up, when you frick up, you need to apologize. And he did. Proud that we handled it that way.
And to the other people questioning whether or not he wrote it? Honestly, why would Saban lie about that? The kid wrote apologies, give credit where credit is due. It's this type of management that has led to Saban having a reputation among the most revered disciplinarians in organized sport today. You can have your personal feelings on the man, but at this point, it's hard to deny that. Really classy response from Saban and the team here IMO.

I hope one of the LSU D lineman does the same to AJ. Then write a letter.
I already have the first draft prepared.

Trae Elston thinks this is BS
It really would be pretty mind boggling for the SEC to decide that the Elston hit was dangerous but the Fanning hit wasn not.

Was this hit on Shaw dangerous?

I think that it is classy. Im not knocking Saban or the young man involved.
The reality is this young man needs to be suspended by the conference for his conduct on the field. Its simple. That hit deserves a suspension from the SEC office.

I mean really... And on top of that he got suspended a whole game. I forgot who it was but I think the week before someone else made an obvious illegal hit.... No question at all... Suspended 2 quarters

More impact if Pinkle had mentioned it.
