This stuff is pretty lame..

Just the other day the 'Waffle House" thread 'proved' that Missouri was southernish.

Southern? Northern? Midwestern? All three? None?

NOBODY knows what culture Missouri is, but its provocative. It gets the people going!

The "sear-up" vs. "sir-up" map and "sneakers" vs. "tennis shoes" maps surprise me. I thought both would be far more split than they were. I say "sear-up" and "sneakers."

That is awesome in a billion kind of ways. I've never heard that.

I'd heard it in the Better Than Ezra song "Cry In The Sun" but just thought it was some senseless bullshite like you always hear in song lyrics. I'm pleased to learn it is instead some senseless bullshite that some Southerners say when talking about the weather.

Notice the white area around New Orleans on that map. New Orleans has a lot of sayings and phrases that are just unique to that area that go against alot of the south. new orleans screwed up the pajama map as well as the syrup map. yall get a pass on the sandwich one though as poboy should have been a choice.

I eat crawfish. I fish with a crawdad. It was probably on the label. Otherwise, it's a damn crawfish.
