people all over the country would pay to see OU and TX play an sec west schedule imo.
The only way it could possibly happen would be to negotiate an out-of-footprint rate three or four times the BTN.

but, what you know is only what people on the internet have posted. Majority of fans at every college do not post about their school on the internet.
Yeah but the Internet Fans are the loud and passionate people who care more, donate more, and therefore have more influence.
The internet crowd matters. Heck it was the push on the internet that really got A&M to give up on the Big 12. Without Texags, without organizing, without a regular normal Aggie doing a Freedom of Information request on the LHN contract, then we are still maybe in the Big 12.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease. The "majority of fans" follow along and turn it to new channels when their team plays.

why would programs like Kansas want two more good teams?
For stability. That is obvious. A Big 12 made of twelve teams that include Arkansas and LSU would survive for decades. The current ten team one will probably be dead in a decade.

Some of us have been following Realignment for years.
I started in the 60's when Tulane and Tech bolted.

But seriously, I live in Austin. I don't just read their message boards, I hear their local sports radio. OU and UTx fans look at A&M playing Alabama/Auburn/LSU/Arkansas/South Carolina every year, and then they look at their schedule featuring TCU/Baylor/TTech/OSU as the main draws, and they rip their hair out in frustration.
Season ticket sales at UTx have plummeted. And OU has had to shelve plans to renovate their stadium because donors don't want to open their wallets.
There is real discontent, and it permeates the entire fanbase for each program.

Actually, the fall in oil prices had more to do with that...but sail on...

if conference falls apart, can always join another one.
as long as you have some teams to play it is all good
it still the same game regardless. i'm a football fan not a conference fan
