Of course I wouldn't. I am simply making the specific point that domestic violence does not necessarily mean the person will assault others in public. Many of the people who commit domestic violence ONLY commit domestic violence and they do not think of themselves as criminals.

comparing DV to misdemeanor smaller crimes committed

I don't know how old you are, or in what third world locales you may have spent [up to] the last 120 years, but here are two facts regarding domestic violence in America:

1) Up until about 9 months ago (or whenever the Ray Rice thing surfaced) Domestic Violence WAS that "misdemeanor smaller crime" in America. It was what cops bitched about when they needed something concrete to bitch about. It was, as it ever had been, PRECISELY that "misdemeanor smaller crime" that wasn't REALLY a crime because it happened all the time and the "victims" hardly ever chose to press charges.

2) Since the Ray Rice thing Domestic Violence has been a "major" crime in America. Per the media. We've witnessed a literal "one eighty" in less than one year.

A few of us in this thread have referred and/or alluded to this thus far. Not that any of us are defending a man's right to commit Domestic Violence. None of us wants it to return to a position of invisibility. However, the fact remains that ten months ago (or so) it was treated (by the media, law enforcement, and many if not most of the general American public) comparably to that "minor misdemeanor" that is smoking marijuana today; suddenly it's treated ala smoking marijuana in eastern Texas circa 1971: your arse goin to prison.

You're assuming that it's 2015 (and not 1940) perhaps. You're assuming that a 21st Century woman holds rights, responsibility, and accountability.

Some of these other guys seem to think that some men (humans with Y-chromosomes and penises) should have stepped in and removed the threat before the victim fatalistically met him.

That's the only way to confuse my sentiment with someone that is complaining about their arrests since I never said that. Don't worry. You are doing what 90% of the other kids that lack a high school education do: respond about I've said two thing when I only said one (Also spare us the blurb about how smart you are. We know already, now). Dude, your fan base is the most embarrassing this side of Morgantown WV. You are a posterchild for it, obviously.
I see that you conveniently left out the rest of the post. I'll repost it here to show that I was referring to Bama haters in general, not confusing your post with another...but nice try little bitch.

"You can't have it both ways,Alice. Some of you clowns are screaming about all the Alabama players with arrests and citations, NOW you're hollering that these guys are "above the law"!
All you jealous, envious bitches make up your minds! Which is it?"

Alabama really does have a disgusting approach to things.

They will do damn near anything to keep their football team up there.

FIFY

Sorry, but I have to be honest. Ten years before Bear Bryant pulled some strings to let Forest Gump graduate with a degree in Basket Weaving he bought future Heisman winner John David Crow from Louisiana.

I will not be a hypocrite.

This is exactly what I am talking about.

Again, kid. You're an embarrassment to football in general. Bama football is your life. You cling to it, not knowing that everyone is shaking their head and laughing at you about it.

Try to give someone a second shot w/conditions and parameters and Saban/Bama gets crucified... he was given a chance, he fricked up and is now gone... I could understand the backlash if Saban handled the situation "internally" and didn't dismiss him but come on... TAYLOR WAS PROCESSED!!!

Regardless of what you people try to say, Saban is not a win at all costs coach. Does he want to win, SURE!! And the man is damn good at it but this is the same guy that suspended SEVERAL key players during his first two years, at critical points in the season. Remember Andre Smith before the 2008 Sugar Bowl? Or how bout Antoine Caldwell and others during the textbook scandal??
Or when Saban when on his rant about doing things the right way when he suspended those guys? Told the press and Alabama that if we weren't going to do things the right way then he was NOT going to be the Bama coach...

I understand why the man is so guarded because even the slightest hiccup, people go for his jugular... But keep on bashing the Tide and Saban. They will just keep on kicking your teams asses on the field...

Wow, Saban and Alabama are taking a thorough beating on this. They are getting pummeled. Absolutely throttled.....

For good reason. Hopefully this will force UA into reevaluating its admissions process related to violent criminals.

No, I think this is exactly what you were talking about....

"Funny thing is: They live in a state where it is the cop's fault for arresting him or the girl's fault for pissing him off. "This is Alabama Football, dammit. Everyone in this state should know their role when it comes to our beloved team. Our players are above the law and our football prowess is a God-given gift. So don't get in the way of that and you can avoid exile to Mississippi ".
Generalize much?...a sign of an intolerant fool...and that's what I'm talking about.

Awful opinion piece. The author is either naive or trolling for clicks. I'm guessing both.

It's the off-season except for the few spring training pieces, they gotta get clicks anyway they can.

No.....no I dont. Do you read the paper much? You are reading waaay to far into something that goes waaay over your head, child.

------
But please. You have me hooked now. I want 5 more response from you. You are too entertaining just to leave alone.

Next up, I want you to get a bit more upset; try to break down my paragraphs;. and then the funny part where you describe how wish I was in front of your face, etc.

I know I just said it all for you but the entertainment comes when you begin to fly off the handle.

......now go!

Every time there is the slightest (not that the Taylor thing is slight - it's horrible) negative story about Alabama rival fans jump on board because they desperately hope it signals the end of:
quote:

The Crimson Tide have the pick of the litter when it comes to recruiting.

They know that as long as Bama continues to recruit well, the Tide will continue to be THE team in the conference.
