I won't speak as to the issues here but I will say, clearly, that I....ME... only watch ESPN/related channels for live sports. After watching Michael Sam kiss his boyfriend every hour on the hour for 2 days, seeing Bruce Jenner honored on its premier awards show, all the BLM/CK commentary on shows like Mike & Mike, I have had enough. And, no I am not anti gay. M.Sam coming out is a legit sports issue. But what I saw ever hour for 2 straight days was geared towards only one thing, generating BS for ratings. Suffice to say, too, ESPN is owned by ABC. Anyone questions which way it leans politically?

Wait. You mean to say that it's possible to watch only some ESPN programming, but not all of it? I thought I was the only one who'd cracked that code!

Speaking as a conservative, I think you're embarrassing yourself.

i think you insecure about your liberal beliefs. if i cared enough, i would do a deep dive on search feature and pull up a bunch of your pinko commi comments. you obviously defensive about people bleieving it is b/c of ESPN's leftwing tilt

Go ahead. You won't find any.
I hope you understand how incredibly stupid it is to assume that because a person disagrees with you on one topic that he must disagree with you on all topics.

Actually, the problem is you aren't thinking. You are regurgitating a false narrative based off your feelings rather than actually taking a second and looking at the facts.

Remember when we used to watch MTV for all the music videos? And then they started programming reality shows, game shows, etc. Now who watches MTV?

The majority of these athletes are black (go figure!), and when current events come up, the blacks most often take the subject and opine to the left with it. It's rare that you see one take a conservative position, and rarer that you see the moderater do so.
Maybe I just tune it out, but I don't see the political stuff infecting the live sports all that often.
I hear and read about how far left ESPN has moved, and yet I really don't see it. But that's probably because I rarely watch any of their content other than games and the occasional 30 for 30.
Honestly, who even watches Sportscenter anymore? Every highlight you could ever want is available 24/7 on your phone.

I don't watch any of those shows, so I suppose I'm immune to ESPN's propaganda machine.

Overall the daytime programming for ESPN has crap ratings. It doesn't really matter what they roll out. If it's not live sports for things like football, baseball, basketball, etc people tend to not give a shite. It's been that way ever since Sportscenter was no longer needed to see the highlights of your team from the night before. Even w/their debate shows that used to do well you don't need to watch the entire show anymore b/c they put all of that up on the internet. If something controversial is said you can just stream that 2 minute clip. If you want the whole show it's probably on a podcast. Otherwise, there is really no reason to actually watch anything of their original programming aside from the occasional 30 for 30, which again, you will be able to stream later at your convenience.

More people than would watch if it was just music videos. The entire reason they started airing other stuff was to get higher ratings.
There are still channels that are like what MTV used to be. Nobody watches them. Why would you when you can just watch whatever music video you want on YouTube or Vimeo?

ESPN is being run by nothing but northeastern liberals who seem to only care about pushing a political agenda to the exclusion of sports content and even ratings. It's bizarre, it's obnoxious, and more than anything else, it's unwatchable. Literally CSPAN is more interesting than the stupid shite they show on ESPN on weekdays now. I don't know who their target audience is nowadays, but it isn't 30 year old white males in the south.
Example: I am in the gym and they have ESPN on the other day and I shite you not it is Stephen A. Smith and that not Skip Bayless white guy who wears 3 piece suits and doesn't shave arguing about federal marijuana policy. Stupidest shite I've seen,

This has very little to do with people dropping just ESPN (it is a "basic" cable channel in most places) and more to do with the fact that people are getting rid of cable service completely.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Our "standard" package includes ESPN, ESPN 2, and SEC Network all in HD. Plus crap resolution versions of the above plus SEC-A Network and ESPN Classic. You cannot get cable service in Vicksburg w/o those channels, and I suspect that's the norm. Strangely, ESPN U and ESPN News are in a different add-on pack.

Do you think it's radical left
Or maybe it's just horseshite lowest common denominator television with guys like skip bayless. Too much sports version of the Maury povich show

The crap I hate is the continually pimping bigten/acc to get more viewers whether the product is good or not. You cant go to ESPNU.com with seeing Hairball this and Hairball that, helping him recruit based on exposure to media only.
Another thing that is crazy is the damn polls in May or June debating Heisman candidates, top 25 etc etc. Too much of this kills it.

or you are a leftwinger doing political propaganda. i don't see any reason why you would care about my view if you don't work for ESPN, unless you are a leftwing. as a conservative, i know i hate ESPN for its liberal bias, and I know other conservatives who feel the same way.

I'm totally happy to continue streaming until a point in time in which a la carte and reasonable pricing become a thing. I don't want MSNBC or CNN to get a dime
Next monopoly to go needs to be the ISP racket.

Skip Bayless went to another network, Fox Sports or something and I think that network's ratings have improved since he got there.
