This is ridiculous, but wasn't he playing in 1A? I dont' know about Florida, but in Louisiana 1A ball isn't exactly a meat grinder. He would be going against kids half his size more often than not.

Yeah, it's a pure average.

Then you have freaks like Marshawn Lynch who play till they're almost 30.

Or Peterson, 31, one of the best in the history of the game, still going.

But for every one of those, you've easily got a couple dozen who washed out.

It is but Mark Ingram had 572 in college and he is still holding up ok, have no idea about his high school numbers.

This is incorrect.

He played a complete season in 2012, ran for 600 yards. He's had injuries that have kept him out of several games every other year.

Every RB is going to get banged up. He has had almost 400 carries in the past two years and last year was his 5th year. He is doing fine.

I'm not arguing his production but rather he is going into his 6th year. It is not crazy to think Derrick Henry can be in the NFL for 6-8 years barring a serious injury.

That's ridiculous

That's really not that much. He had a ton in 2015, but was pretty lightly used other than that.

350 carries per year for 4 years. That HS coach should be embarrassed.

Any numbers to compare these two?

Did Henry only have 3 TDs, all of which he had to break from 20+?

His HS stats are crazy. I don't if it was lower classification ball but

Career:

1,397 carries, 12,124 yards, 8.7/attempt, 252.6/game, 153 TDs

Senior Year:

462 carries, 4,261 yards, 9.2/attempt, 327.8/game, 55 TDs

He was a man amongst boys in college. I don't even know if they have a phrase to describe what he was in high school.

Unstoppable covers it. At the time, I was just glad Georgia didn't get him. Nothing personal against the Bulldogs, but I reasoned that we don't have to play Bama every year. Of course, ones like Chubb and Gurley weren't much of an improvement except when they were injured.

Keith Marshall will end up having a better NFL career then Henry. Dude has been sandbagging for two years waiting his turn.

He's a good running back but he would SLAY as an OLB/DE in the NFL. Has he always played on the offensive side of the ball or does he have any experience as a pass rusher from his high school days?

I have little idea whether or not Marshall will have a better career, though I tend to doubt it. But I didn't care in the least who had better NFL prospects -- we weren't playing NFL teams.

Played 5A in reality, which is pretty legit in Florida

If you mean he's never looked as good as his sophomore year in college before playing injured as junior then yes, ok.
