The whole gripe about Holtz's pick is that he would have Auburn having to earn the right to play a rematch against a team they beat at the end of the year. With a clear number 1 team at this point in the year and pretty damn clear number 2, except for people still in denial, Alabama should be the one having to earn the right for a rematch and should be either the 3 seed or the 4 seed.

I hate for people to say that Alabama is the most complete team when the last evidence of this indicated to me that their special teams suck....0 for 4 in FG and a 109-yd return of one of those misses. They also had a failed 4th down because the FG unit sucked. Last time that I checked, special teams was one of three phases of a complete team.

I remember it all too well a couple of years back...Cam gets a ring and Alabama was done Chizik was going to dominate and we all know how that worked out.

I still think Bama is the better team. Would win 8/10. Auburn got one of the 2/10. That's all it takes.

If someone is that biased and do that for a living, they have no business having a job. He essentially said that Bama is better irregardless of what happened on the field.
I don't like anyone playing for a championship that didn't have to play in a conference championship, and yes, I am staring at you Bama. If you sit at home on conference championship weekend, you shouldn't have a shot at the national championship.

so Auburn would have to play FSU first and Bama Michigan state yeah that's stupid
also Big 12 would be screwed again. Baylor lost to a good OK State team and Michigan State lost to Notre Dame and Michigan State gets in over Baylor.
Bama should be out of it because they didn't win their conference.

but I hate the bias towards bama
if we had a playoff their year I would hope there would be an outrage if Bama got in over either Michigan State or Baylor.
Blah Blah Blah I know they would probably beat both of them, but They both won their conference and Bama didn't. Winning your conference should mean something.
If the bias for Bama continues into the playoff there are some years Bama could forfeit that last game and still win the national championship.
