After watching a pretty good Mizzou D with some future NFL'ers look totally lost today 296 doesn't seem so bad.

AU's offense is elite no doubt but the D is awful.

We had some terrible play calling that game. We went at their strength and avoided their weakness.

Sometimes we are too stubborn on those 3 and short runs up the gut.

AU beat Bama. The transitive property does not apply.

As much as I hate Alabama, Lou is definitely right about Alabama being in the top two. They are one of the best if not the best. They are better than Auburn in pretty much every aspect. Auburn is a one dimensional team with no passing game or defense. What's astonishing is the fact that the run game has been able to carry them so far, although with a lot of luck. If that ground game of Auburn gets stuffed, they will get mauled by FSU.

I saw it.
The controversy was between who would be left out between Mich. St. and Baylor.

Dr. Lou wanted for the two teams from the best conference to not have to match up in the first round, and the way he saw it was Bama was the best team all the way up until the last second of the regular season.

This would guarantee (provided both teams won,) a chance for an all SEC NCG instead of having an all SEC prelim game that would eliminate one of us.

I wouldn't be so mad bro, Auburn did get lucky vs. UGA and if you played Bama 10 times you might win 2 or maybe 3. Lou Holtz thinks the best 2 teams are Bama & FSU, and he is right. CFB doesn't work like NFL playoffs though. But AU did lose to LSU who Bama beat. LOU IS JUST GIVING AN HONEST OPINION

No way, Gus is a better coach that Saban and Bama cannot stop the run or kick a FG. Play 10 times and Bama might win one, maybe none, but even after losing expect Bama fans to say ignorant things like we beat LSU and LSU beat you so we are better.

This is the mindset you need to claim 25 national championships even after you lost the bowl game that year.

That was his argument. But it should have been FSU, AUB, MSU, Bama. That would've been FSU vs Bama (a team who failed to win their division).

I don't think the order matters that much. It only matters that you make it into the playoffs.

That would work as well, but the wise and knowledgeable Dr. Lou couldn't see why the only undefeated team should be punished and have to face Bama in the first round.. (j/j )

seeding controversies already! (and starting next year, there will be some.)

Good luck against the 'noles!

He said he would put Auburn at number 4 so the SEC doesn't play each other in the first round and that head to head doesn't matter.

He is picking the four best teams, in order the order he thinks. Auburn still gets in, but no one outside of Auburn believes Auburn is "better" than Bama. You've got a shot at a National Title, so calm your tits.

This is on the money. We're gonna see how a running-stopping nose guard (like a Terrence Cody), Tim Jernigan will destroy that offense. I'd honestly like to see the MNC stay in the conference and state, but FSU is gonna do a number on Auburn.
