I'll settle for Kelly getting a chance to prove it in Atlanta.

I think the odds are pretty good it gets worse... for all the shite people talked about sec QBs last year, Prescott, Allen, and Kelly were pretty damn good... Dobbs and Coker were also solid.

No more Treon. That's all that matters.

as only Ole Miss' Chad Kelly averaged more than 300 passing yards per game

Well, only 13 QBs in the entire country averaged 300+ YPG.

Total for each P-5 conference:

Pac 12 (2)
Big 12 (1)
SEC (1)
Big 10 (0)
ACC (0)

quote:

just three quarterbacks -- Kelly, Mississippi State's Dak Prescott and Arkansas' Brandon Allen -- threw for 3,000 yards

The country had 32 3,000+ yard passers.

Total by P5 conference:

PAC 12 (5)
Big 12 (5)
Big 10 (4)
ACC (3)
SEC (3)

So, while the QB play wasn't great in the SEC, this guy is a dumbass for trying to make it seem like it's terrible compared to everyone else.

ETA: He is correct that 2016 is going to be bad, though.

So was Driskel and Muschamp turned him into a World Beater.

I disagree.

Ole Miss & Tennessee return successful veterans. Auburn, Florida (the Treon version), and aTm will almost certainly be better. Alabama will likely start worse but rapidly improve to be a push. LSU and Georgia will be the same or better.

Similarly, Kentucky, Vandy, USCe, and Mizzou all don't have much direction to go but up.

The only team that's virtually certain to see a massive drop in QB production is Mississippi State. That's not to say they won't have a serviceable QB, but he won't be Dak Prescott and he won't be throwing to Wilson.

Not fact checking you here but assuming these are accurate. The fact that the Pac and Big12 don't have more than that should say a lot about QB play and expectations across the board. Those conferences can barely be said to play defense on the whole.

The numbers are individual QBs, which is what the author used. Still, only 19 teams (4 Big 12 & 2 PAC 12) averaged 300+ passing YPG. The SEC had 2.

To be fair, the PAC 12 had 2 of the top 3 passing offenses and ASU averaged 299. I'm not the one who set the 300 YPG mark though, it was the author.

Can't believe Miles and Cam let Harris play with a sports hernia

I look for him to make a big jump going into his junior year and healthy

UF fans can correct me if I'm wrong but according to ESPN, Driskel played in 5 games in 2011 and lost 1, Played the entire season in 2012 and lost 2, played in 3 games in 2013 before he got hurt and lost 1 and lost 3 games in 2014. What exactly does that show about muschamp not being able to win games with good qb?

the highest passing yards in each league are California, Texas Tech, Indiana, Clemson, Ole Miss.

Are there other ways to win games besides throwing for the most yards or something b/c only one of those won their conference?
