You had the best chance last year. As bad as it was it will be improved this year. Might not be by much but you had a golden opportunity last year.

In other words, no SEC team will need to risk injury to any RBs when playing Arkansas.

Nah you still going to have to have some balance unless maybe you are ole miss

Should have a much better pass rush so that will help the secondary either way. Hoping Paul Rhodes can do work as well.

What happened to ESPN hating LSU? Is this just a peace offering of zero value?

Is this Rhoads first year at Arky? That guy will have an immediate impact.

That is the dream but we have had some guys banged up which sucks. He has shifted the line up a little so that gives me hope that he has improved it.

What position does Rhoades play? Sounds like he's in the same position as Travonte Valentine for LSU. So excited about him. Excited about switching to a 3-4 as well.

Lack of recruiting. You can't have projects at most positions. Look at the schools that go after kids Bert offers. Mainly directional schools with no offers inside top 50-75. But we will coach em up is the answer

You sound really butthurt by the fact that LSU has pretty much owned Florida's arse the last 5 years so you are trying to post any kind of stat that favors Florida to make you feel better. I understand. And BTW what has Florida won since Tebow left?

Article mentions Sheffield but not the guys who sent him packing Anthony Averett and Mayden. Extremely excited about our secondary this year.

Who is the 2nd best rb in the SEC behind Fournette.
The other day I tried to convince my buddy how much Guice reminds me of Cook. He wasn't having any of it. That kid is AMAZING.

Oh shite my bad

Completely off base on that one. I don't keep up with Arkansas at all really so I was clueless.

No biggie

I'm kind of surprised though. He probably hurt LSU's chances at the NC in 2011 when he beat Ok. State. I think LSU would have beaten OK. State in that match up.

How overrated is Jamal Adams?

Great pass coverage DB for a strong safety. Not always that positions' strength. And he is elite against the run. Comes up and lays the wood. Good size and speed. 1st round talent. Not sure what he doesn't do well.

Maybe it's just the position itself that's got me hung up. Just feel like hard hitting safeties aren't all that tough to find. I know y'all say he's pretty good in coverage, I'll just have to take y'all's word for it. Just seems like he gets a TON of hype, more than anyone else on LSU's defense...and I doubt he's the most important part of the defense.

Kendell Beckwith is by far the most important player on LSU's defense.

4 interceptions and 10PBU last year as a SS is pretty good in coverage. Considering a lot of dime/nickel packages we run, he plays close to the line of scrimmage. His ability to be somewhat of a linebacker in some of our defensive sets last year made him valuable to us. We have a new DC this year so I'll be curious to see how Aranda uses several of our players. We shall see.

Bruce Feldman labeled LSU #1 overall last month.
