Wouldn't want to use the BCS rankings on the BCS Countdown show. This really is turning in to a fricking joke

ESPN is an embarrassment right now.

Besides the tough in-conference games, you have to admit that scheduling Oregon at a neutral site and playing West Virginia in Morgantown is pretty tough.

Adding just ONE high-ranked team to your schedule in place of a team like North Texas adds a ton of weight to an already tough schedule.

Penn St > WV.. mutual opponents were dead even in margin of victory, with Lsu. Oregon is in a really shitty conference and overrated. You diminish Lsu's wins with that statement.

And the delusion continues.

You gumps can't read or you would have seen that I said Bama was a better team than OSU

Their resume is not and this is what it should be about

Not ESPN marketing a rematch and trying to influence voters

Penn St = WV.. mutual opponents were almost even(slightly favoring LSU) in margin of victory, with Lsu. Oregon is better than any non conference team Bama played. Plus Georgia in the SECCG. You prove Lsu's schedule is that much more impressive with that statement.

I believe Bama is a better team than OSU

Is their resume better than OSU's? Hell no

I agree with this as well. I think that also touches on the divide between what the BCS should be looking at (btw, I don't have the answer for you) and what causes confusion/debate among voters.

In terms of resume, Remy did a good job of showing the comparison early in this thread. He also had a quote about "it not being a slam dunk" for OSU either which I'd agree with. I do think their resume is objectively better and I think it is hard for me to see a logical argument for Bama's resume being better than OSU (better, not equal to).

The "eye test" is a slam dunk for Bama over OSU and I think the majority of folks agree with that. I think thats why they ultimately get in.

I do wish there was more actual debate comparing these two teams by the national media. I mean, ESPN has an hour long BCS show and does not do an honest evaluation like Remy did for the entire time. I wish they'd at least give that 5 minutes or so. Instead, they put up the biased poll that started this thread.

How about losses to BCS ranked teams vs losses to unranked teams?

Did they show that stat?

What did it say?

@BCSCountdown Why did BCS show use AP poll to compare Bama-OSU top 25 wins? ESPN push for rematch ratings is pathetic. Impartiality = gone.

I doubt I get any response but it was worth a shot

Then they should go to the NC over OSU.

Who's ranked at 1st.

What's Iowa State ranked again?

Don't worry I'll wait while you look it up.

You have a "better" loss than we do(that sounds retarded btw)

We have better wins, so lets say it's a wash

The tie breaker would be you already lost to the team you would play in the BCSCG
