Oh and here are Okie State's wins (assuming a win over Oklahoma):

Oklahoma St
-Win over BCS #10 [assuming they beat Oklahoma whose ranking would likely drop 2-3 spots with loss]
-Win over BCS #11 [Kansas St-whose ranking would go up if Oklahoma at #10 loses]
-Win over BCS #17
-Win over BCS #22
-Win over BCS #25
-Conference Champ

Bamas schedule is no where near the caliber of schedule LSU has played.

In fact if LSU beats jawja LSU can just claim a share of the mnc regardless of the losers desired rematch.

claimed mnc....sound familiar gumps

C'mon. Don't pick and choose a single game. Check all 12.

Didn't you know that losing at home with every advantage afforded to you is > than losing on the road but beating an overall better schedule?

Come on Man. You know that using logic with Bammers is futile.

Which top 5 or top ten teams did Okie St beat?

If they beat OU? Kansas St.

OSU's schedule is much better than Bama's. There is no doubt about it. But the eye test says Bama is the 2nd best team.

Of course you go back to talking about your wonderful loss. Wins should matter, too. And okiest would have better wins. Plus, bama played some horrible offenses just like okie played horrible defenses.

I personally believe:

1. Bama is the second best team in the country, but

2. Bama has been eliminated from contention because it has played the no. 1 team already and lost (assuming LSU wins next week)

It is deception and worst and intellectual dishonesty at best for ESPN to compare the wanna-be teams using AP poll results.

Of course the direction of this thread turned into a schedule comparison

It should really be about how big of a joke ESPN is

Amen Rickie. What do you think about Craig James saying he left Arkansas at #3? What you folks have to do is beat Oklahoma convincingly. If you do that, at least you've put the ball in the hands of the voters. Otherwise, you will make the voters job easy. Brad Edwards' worst nightmare is a 30-point Cowboy blowout next Saturday. Tell your boys to take care of business and save college football from the travesty of giving Alabama a second bite at the apple before the Cowboys have gotten their first.

Amen... Bama's schedule was a joke.

How so? We have Oregon over them. That's it. PSU=WVU. Then we both share an SEC schedule.

Ours is better, but if we have one of the hardest this season and Bama is short an Oregon-caliber game, that's not exactly a joke.

If Oklahoma State hadn't have choked against Iowa State we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

You can bitch about it as much as you want, but the fact of the matter is Alabama passes the eye test with the voters and OSU does not. That could change but such circumstances are extremely unlikely.

Without a doubt. But teams have passed the eye test before and have been left out due to the total resume.

Even with the loss to Iowa State, Oklahoma State is neck and neck with Alabama for #2 in the computers.
