Not that I don't agree that people shouldn't overlook OM, they did have some painful losses, and Kelly's not going to have as easy a time in the passing game next year. Be optimistic but realize that great teams have gone down for less than losing five draft picks to the NFL.

The real question is how long the cloud hangs. If it's still there come September, OM is gonna need some serious fortitude to shut the distractions out, both individually and as a program. As great as their recruiting has been, it's been a wee bit top-heavy, so they're going to lean more on the solid 3 star types, which means there's less margin for error if they can't avoid distraction.

wow...

Even when the other team wins, Alabama did not lose?

Good thing Alabama, otherwise I would think you lost to Ole Miss two years in a row.

We would easily be the greatest 7-5 team of all time.

yeah, I thought so too. but ive been informed that Bama only beats themselves, even when the opponent has 20 point leads in the game...twice.

Y'all didn't finish in the cellar?

I really feel bad about this coming year. I don't see y'all winning an SEC game.

I am not going to pile on OM either.

Put this whole recruiting thing aside, and no matter how you slice it OM has had an amazing last few years.

There is no real talent parity in college football. I would argue Ole Miss still had much less pure talent and depth than teams like LSU and Alabama have every year and won.

And honestly, deep down, most SEC fans are thinking "thank God it wasn't us that got caught", that is hardly a moral high ground.

Yeah bama's turnovers against OM had NOTHING to do with any good defensive plays, big hits, strips, strategies and schemes, being out-coached, etc by Ole Miss.
Why, perish the thought!

Will probably go 7-5 and have a 1/2% chance of winning SEC. Good news is yall playing fball!

People also were calling Jeremy Johnson the best QB in the SEC and all.

People spit out shite all year long. The quicker you stop hanging on their every word the better off you'll be.

exactly...but of course, when the bama defender pulled the facemask of the rebel running back and almost broke his neck and resulted in a fumble returned for a touchdown to put the tide up 14-3 at halftime 2 years ago...that was another example of the superior coaching that they possess...the 20-3 arse whipping ole miss administered in the 2nd half that made bama beat themselves was a direct result of the obvious cheating going on in oxford...I think I'm understanding how this thing works now.

Gotta give it to you. There's only two or three OM fans in here hanging around and not just flaming away. Expected you to be like the rest of the sky-is-falling group.

Return 4 of 5 starters that beat Bama. Best guard to guard play Freeze has had and plenty of RT candidates including the one who played against Bama. Big issue is LT. Hoping Greg Little is as advertised but to assume a true freshman will be ready for FSU in week one or Bama in week 3 is unrealistic. Better OL than the one we fielded for the first 7 games last year but that's not saying much
tim williams vs either of your tackles, going to ruin the game all night

Fortunately they still have to play the game to find out.

Assuming we are allowed to play the game.

I think the better question is who will be the alpha dog at wr...

With that offense you need a serious matchup problem for teams that play man in an attempt to negate all the rpo's.

It was moncreif, then Treadwell, who is on board now to be that guy? Is it stringfellow?

I for one think Kelly could be good enough at QB, especially if he improves on last yr, to carry the Black Bears through some tough games. But I don't hear anyone talking about their defense & depth, and both will have a lot to say when the Bears have to run through the SEC West teams.
