Oh, look! A brilliant and original statement that hasn't even been made already in this very thread! Tennessee is obviously chock-a-block with internet posting geniuses!
Ha, truth hurts I guess.

Any other school in the SEC would be so lucky as to have a coach, who's only problem is he's tired of beating everyone's arse to death and winning championships. #ROLLTIDE

Looks pretty happy to me...

I don't see how anyone could be happy living in Tuscaloosa. That place is an armpit.

I'd be happy living in Tuscaloosa for 5 million a year.

Saban made Saban's arse quit!

I don't understand why this kind of thing gets peoples jimmies all rustled. Saban is a great coach and has done great things at bama. Coaching is a hard stressful job that requires a type A personality that is always striving to be the best. Therefore it wouldn't surprise me if Saban ever decided to leave and try his hand elsewhere. He would've done great things at bama and as long as he was honest about his intentions I doubt there would be all that much ill will.
At the same time if he is content and his family is happy he may just as likely stay there and retire relatively young (for a coach) in a few more years. This would of course be well deserved as well as he has been nothing but impressive.
Bottom line is it shouldn't matter if he goes or not. He's proven he is an elite coach and has done great things at bama.
People really do get worked up over the stupidest shite.

They had Mrs. Saban's interview on ESPN college last night (10:00 I think). It was a phone interview and it she did say he was not having much fun... (basically that it was getting boring)...

“To answer your question and get right to the point, no,” she said. “We’re very comfortable here. We love it here. It’s a great fit for our family. It’s a good fit for me. As far as we’re concerned, this is where we’ll retire someday.
Looks like you and Terry differ on the meaning of boring.

But....... I never thought Spurrier would ever leave his alma mater and I never thought Pete Carroll would leave USC after failing twice, as a head coach, in the NFL before.
Spurrier wanted back in at FL but played a power game with the AD and lost. Pete Carroll saw the writing on the wall with the NCAA investigation and hit the road back to the one place the NCAA couldnt reach him. The NFL. These two comparisons dont work.

Tuscaloosa is one of the better college towns in America and one of the nicer midsize towns in the South. Been recognized as much.

Saban doesn't give a frick about his surroundings. He spends all his free time at the lake house any way. He's all about the job. Bama fans just have to sit back and hope his perfectionist manner doesn't will him back to the NFL.

It certainly appears to be a full court press to get the Alabama players to doubt the coaching staffs future. Seems to be the only legit way that Notre Dame has a chance.
I think its all just propaganda.
This was my reaction when I read the OP. A lot of ESPN guys are from the Northeast and are therefore Big 10/ND fans. They want badly for Notre Dame to win this game. I will never pull for Alabama, but even most Auburn fans know the inevitable is coming in January.
