Clueless in how ESPN has been helping bama get to the BCS Title game since 2009.

That's it? Really... That's it?

Maybe the non-Christians should stop being so damn sensitive.

I agree, but would most of the Deep South want their message of Christianity to be presented to the masses through the Pope and what not? They want their buzzwords thrown in the propoganda, not the Catholics. Grace... not works. Pastor not priest. Pray to Jesus, not Mary(or whoever). I've heard the most anti-Catholic rants by an ex who was a Church of Christer. I've seen the litany of anti-Catholic spewed before my friend, and half my family is Catholic and I considered becoming Catholic when I first attended A&M.

I'm well aware. I could construct a pretty thorough venn-diagram.

ETA: ESPN now represents the SEC in some regard ... and they need to remember who we are as a whole. If they are going to rep us, their policies need to take into consideration our outlooks and views moreso than the northeast's on all matters where OUR network is concerned IMHO.

Uh... how... what?

Not everyone in the south is Christian. Not everyone who is a fan of an SEC school is a Christian. Not everyone who is going to be paying for and watching this network is a Christian. (Just as everyone in the North is not a godless heathen as you seem to want to portray them...) So why is it so easy to dismiss them?

ESPN pushed publicly for Florida in 2006, LSU in 2007, Florida in 08...and Bama in 2011 and even this year for Iron Bowl II...

I agree. I am glad they took a stand. If more people decide to stand up for what is right, maybe just maybe we can turn this country around.

I don't believe in Jesus. I don't want your Jesus signs in my yard. But I don't care what ESPN does or doesn't allow.

Watching it? They have a choice NOT
To watch ESPN. People need to stop
Crying and whining their feelings are hurt because
Someone said Jesus.

My feelings about Jesus are similar to my feelings about Alabama football. Jesus is great, it's just the people who say they love Jesus that I don't tend to like.

Come on, if that offends you, you need help. ESPN has an oversensitive policy and it won't hurt anything to air an ad for a children's hospital.

I agree it shouldn't offend you, but it shouldn't offend you if they chose not to air it because of that. There is power in advertisement, and if a company chooses to be completely neutral, I don't think that should offend you. There are lots of Jews and Muslims out there, and over the course of the holidays, if you saw an ad about some Muslim thing on ESPN over and over again, I don't think you would like it. I know I wouldn't. I have a buddy returning from Afghanistan for the last time, and I'm sure he doesn't want to have to have Islamic religious reminders blasted at him when all he wants to do is watch football...

No one is dismissing the devil worshipers, heathens, witches, et al., I'm just saying let them run their own ads on their own merits.

I'm also saying that, from a marketing perspective, you do not piss off the majority in favor of the minority ... a minority which, BTW, is far less likely to subscribe to the SEC network than the majority.

The SEC Network should expect to draw the majority of its subscribers from affluent, dedicated, SEC fans. anti-Jesus people tend to be more leechy, they tend to want to feed off of others ... they don't pay for things like Jesus people do.
