I saw that too. Supposedly they are working out something with the coaches and the committment isn't offical yet.

you sound like Woopig when he said their signee Howard deliberately took himself out of the first round because he was headed to Arkansas.

why would they hesitate to accept a commitment from an early enrollee with so many offers from top schools?

He couldn't commit to Bama right now anyways, plus he's been to Auburn over 10 times. It's safe to say we easily lead

We have 2 DB spots left, and we're still after Cyrus Jones (not sure if he'll even be a DB though) and Deon Bush. Not sure we'll take Davis yet

I don't know the numbers exactly but it doesn't seem like we'd be able to take Javy Mitchell, Kwon Alexander, and one of Duvall or the guy from Georgia that's down to us and Florida. Can't remember his name.

You're really concerned about his offer list aren't you?

No real loss with Kwon expected to be apart of Bama's class. Not taking anything from Mitchell, they are pretty much identical players in talent, Kwon might have a higher ceiling.

Cyrus Jones may not end up at corner because he's so short. He measured in at only about 5'8 at an Alabama camp. He seems like he'd be more of a slot guy

You can play CB at 5-8 if you are good enough. Antoine Winfield has had a great career at that height. A lot depends on your explosion and vertical...

Extremely. I'm gonna lose sleep over this until I figure it out.

I noticed this too

fwiw, he's been to 3-4 camps from what I've read from other beat writers, Scout just doesn't have them all listed.

I am told that over half of those offers are conditional.

He did

Nobody though the Indians would offer $2M.

Getting him ended when Cleveland traded Pomeranz and White.

Xavier Grindle? When he committed to MSU, he said he had offers form AU, LSU, and Bama I think. There's no way he had offers from any of them

Yeah, him too, but that's not who I am talking about.

Exactly. Kwon to Bama and Javy to AU works out for both. They really are identical, just that Kwon has more experience playing LB, so Javy is more raw at this point

But Saban likes bigger, longer CBs doesn't he?

Mitchell's HC is really smart for playing him at NG, from a team standpoint anyway. It's like the Middle Guards that destroyed the Wishbone, they are faster than anyone on either side of the line, yet has the power to go up against them directly.

Everyone would. But a 6-1/6-2 "true" CB isn't the easiest prospects to find.

Saban did bring in Christion Jones with the intent to play him at CB knowing he was 5-9, but he flashed with the ball in his hands more, so they moved him over to offense.

Worst case scenario, that happens again...
