I'm starting to think Cyrus Jones would end up at slot if he came to AU, just because of the depth we're building at corner, plus he's looked better at WR at camps this summer

We have 2 DB spots left, and we're still after Cyrus Jones (not sure if he'll even be a DB though) and Deon Bush. Not sure we'll take Davis yet

Also after Nelson Agholor as well, although his position is up in the air.

If we're recruiting him at DB, we have no shot whatsoever. If we recruit him at WR, we have about a 1% chance. Agholor has said all along he wants to play WR. He isn't coming to AU to play safety. I hate that we're recruiting him there

ETA: And just btw, one of the two mods that actually know something on AE said today that Deon Bush will be an Auburn Tiger. The Miami situation has changed his view on them

It's possible, I guess that's what the "Athlete" title is for on recruiting sites

Not yet. Only a matter of time IMO. Once he starts hitting people and not shying from contact he's a safety

Probably not, because one of their coaches said that Rose needed to not be so afraid of contact.

Yea i remember the Rivals guys were saying they didnt like what they saw from him at the Under Armour camp at CB but he could possibly move over to safety and excell.

I'd be fine if we just keep the 2 we have and add Bush and call it a day a DB. Then we could use that extra spot for another LB.

I don't think he has the hips to be a corner. But he's got the size and speed to be a great safety. Once he puts some weight on and stops being soft, he'll switch. He's got great range

This used to drive me crazy when he was back to return punts...if it was anywhere NEAR a situation where he'd get hit as soon as he fielded it, he cleared out and let it bounce...

I'd like to have 3 LBs in this class, but it looks like we're only taking Javy in addition to McKinzy. We'll hold a spot for Kwon, but I doubt we get him. But really Freeman is the only LB we lose this year, so we're not in desperate need

I could have him mixed up with someone else, but didn't he average over 50 yards/punt return or something crazy like that?

Oh heck yeah, if he fielded it, he could take it the distance at any time...but if there was a threat of getting popped...*bounce*

The word is that Auburn told him he could play WR. I dont know if it was WR exclusively or a few plays a game in addition to DB.
