I mean, State really didn't lose anything last year. And the D-Line was pretty damn dominant all year long. The only thing we really lacked was an outstanding pass rush, which I expect to be there this year.

But our 2nd string defensive gave up a million points to our offense in the spring game!

fify. Also, I don't think it was an even million. Probably around 927,632.33, repeating of course, points.

Trust me, I'm not trying to rag on Mississippi State. I just wouldn't put their defensive line above Auburn because of the combined talent and experience we have coming back.

Mississippi State, as a team, will be really good this year.

As of now, Carl Lawson isn't expected to miss any big games, so I don't see why it matters... He should be back by Kansas State, but really doesn't have to be back until roughly game 5 against LSU.

Well, I wouldn't say it's "expected" rather they are optimistic that he won't miss any big games

y'all definitely have the edge on depth

I don't think there are many players in the country with the potential for dominance like Jones has.

I guess that's what happens when you reload on the DLine like we've been doing.

There will just be some stacked-arse D-Lines in the SEC this year. Even more than usual, I'd say.

Our starters will be

DE - CJ Johnson
DT - Robert Nkemdiche
NT - Issac Gross
DE - Fadol Brown

We will have solid to good depth behind them. As long as everyone stays healthy, we will get to the QB often and quickly.

Arguing any of the top 5 SEC West D-Lines (Bama, Auburn, LSU, State, OM) over each other is tough. They're all going to be very very good.

You didn't have a pash rush last year... You lose your best pash rusher and your pass rush is suppose to improve?

I'm not trolling when I say this. Outside of Chris Jones (who could possibly be the most talented and most difficult defensive end to block in the SEC this year) I don't know any of the players on State's defensive line. I know y'all have a nose tackle that is pretty good but as far as the other defensive ends go, I don't know any.

autry was prett mediocre, and our best as a DE. chris jones rushed pretty well from the interior and will only be better this year. if he can collapse the pocket even more this year our DEs will benefit greatly.

A&M should be higher with those highly touted DL recruits

We lost a mediocre pass rusher and have been developing other guys, so yes. Not to mention that Jones will get more time at DE than most expect, we have a ton of depth at DT which allows us to move him over a lot. DL will be more stacked than last years, which was pretty damn strong.
