Don't know the rest of his stats, but didn't Terrancd Cody have 2 blocked FGs against Tennessee in '09? One of which saved the game.

That LSU/Auburn game in 2004 was absolutely brutal. Guys were knocking the crap out of each other. I remember TT telling the press after the game that I told our boys that LSU was going to come out and try to bust us in the mouth. We needed to hit them first and hit them hard.

Jarvis Jones career vs Florida was incredibe. In two games (2011/2012), he combined for 7 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries.

One of the forced fumbles was on the goal line saving the game in 2012.

I believe even the Bama fans would agree that state 6 Bama 3 was truly one of the greatest defensive games ever in the SEC. No disrespect to bama, just the opposite. The 80 bama squad was clearly one of the best teams ever. MSU was pretty good too and both teams held the other from scoring a td. Bama was the better team, but msu found a way to win. Both defenses were top shelf good that day. It was epic of Bear to come into the msu locker room and congratulate our players. Much deserved respect to bear and the Bama fans. You guys should take it as a compliment many still consider it msu's best win.

I miss the AU-LSU games from when Tubs was coaching at AU. Was always one of the hardest hitting games all year.

Would the IB game in which Croyle was sacked a dozen times count as an epic defensive performance or an epically inept offensive performance?

Both

Yes. On the last play of the game.

He's grabbing his legs as the ball is still a solid 10 yards away. But yea, I'm still incensed over that LSU-Auburn game 10 years ago. Just glad to Stan White is there to add unbiased analysis to the situation.

Plus, he was calling the game on the AUBURN network. So no shite he's not going to be neutral. Do you think Eli Gold is neutral when he calls games?

Eli is about as neutral as a college football broadcaster can be, yea. I'd wager that anyone who isn't looking for things that listens to him on a semi-regular basis would agree with that.

I can't ever recall Eli spending 5 minutes whining about a call that went against Alabama. But hey, I'm sure others see it differently. I guess.

Like I said - Chris Stewart, who does all the other Alabama sports for CTSN, is awfully bad about it. And he will probably take over for Eli. I hate it.

Thurman was a freak of nature. I never understood why it didn't work for him in the NFL. He was the fastest player in a recruiting class with DJ Shockley, he hit like a train and was awesome in coverage (had a 99 yard INT return TD vs Auburn in 2003).

s the LSU receiver is tackled 2 seconds before the ball gets there.
so it took 2 seconds for the ball to travel 10 yards?

or is it 2 seconds for the ball to travel 5 yards? as the db in front swats it down before it actually "gets there"

Well, it was ball lofted in the air, so probably more like 0.75-1 second.

Again, it's pretty clear the DB is tackling the WR before the ball gets to him. It's ok for a radio analyst to say "I don't know, that's close" or "I think we might have gotten away with one there". The answer doesn't immediately have to be "Nope that's the right call they were right it was right".

I don't understand why Stan White gets defended so much. He's awful. The whining and crying would drive me up the wall, much like Chris Stewart does with Alabama basketball and Jim Powell with the Braves.

To each his own, I guess.

Uga vs Mizzou 2015 is being overlooked. Just amazing defense that day.
