You seem to be rational so I'm just busting your chops, but it's funny that everything that would point to NC being better is simply the fault of the coaches not using him more.

He caught 5 passes all season. Who else would you blame that on?

ETA: It was 7.

did he say that?

He was simply pointing out how utterly stupid it is to suggest that you can't compare 2 players that aren't on the same team. I mean that is so stupid it's almost laughable.

As I said earlier, I'm saying that its not an exact science. Not acknowledging that different situations affect stats is just as if not more laughable. I'm not gonna sit here and say Chubb is lightyears better than LF because he had better stats, or the other way around if LF has a better statistical year this year. Hell, someone like Dalvin Cook at FSU didn't put up monster stats last year but hes right there with Chubb or LF if you actually watch a game instead of look at stat sheet.

Maybe he isn't that great a pass catcher?

Right. I believe this.

Idk, you tell us since you've watched all his HS and LSU tape

If this is all Les Miles' fault, how are LSU fans sitting by idly while one of the great generational talents withers away with 10 carries a game and 7 catches all year?

Can't find video of it, but here's a link to the thread with a gif. I can't post gifs from work.

Exactly. Our passing game was atrocious mainly because no one could catch.

IDk, probably the same reason Georgia fans have sit idly by while UGA has kept a coach who hasn't won a title with a talent filled roster and recruiting base year after year because "hes a good Christian man"

We are in mediocrity purgatory together, we might as well enjoy it.

Is there even a single person that thinks LF is better than NC that isn't an LSU fan?

Apparently the argument is that LF is the best RB in the SEC but:

1) Doesn't get enough carries - Les Miles' fault
2) Defenses loading against the run - QB fault
3) Georgia plays easier defenses in the east - LSU bad luck

Why stop there though? Maybe Chubb just has better stats because his O-line is better? Maybe they have a better playbook?

Damn that was a good catch. I don't know man. You would think a shitty QB situation would call for lots of swing passes and checkdowns. This LSU offense is a mystery wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a giant turd.

I know a Bama fan and a UGA fan IRL that think so, but they are unicorns.

Probably not, but we can all agree on two things:

1. Fournette >>> Williams
2. Fournette >>> Collins

Well, maybe just the second. But still.

who said anything about blame? We're comparing the production of 2 RBs. It's nobody's "fault" that one doenst' have better numbers, but then don't come back and try to put him in company with someone who proved more.

That's like saying Malcolm Mitchell is as good as Amari Cooper, we just didn't throw him the ball enough times.

Chubb had a far better year, but I'm not ready to crown him the better talent. It took Fournette a while to get used to the college game and he really started to grown into himself towards the end of the year.

Plus I'm sure this has been stated already in this thread, but LSU often doesn't ride the hot hand. LF7 will go off, and then he doesn't touch the ball for over a quarter. LSU is again going to have crazy talent in the backfield so Chubb might top him again, stats wise, but the SEC is going to see a very much improved and even scarier Fournette in 2015.

never heard one (and that's not hyperbole, I *literally* have not heard of one single, solitary one) UGA fan use that as a reason why we should keep richt instead of firing him.

Why I think they should have moved Travin Dural to RB.

As a UGA fan, I remember back when the thought of having multiple 5 stars in the backfield was exciting and new...

I'm giving you a reason why Chubb has better receiving stats. That reason is the LSU coaches didn't utilize Fournette out of the backfield very much and 7 receptions in a season proves that.

Again, who would you blame for him only having 7 receptions? It can't be him seeing as he doesn't call the plays. It could be the QB, but LSU hardly ran screens with him either.
