There are several quarterbacks in the HOF who don’t have the accomplishments or stats that he does. Maybe not first ballot but he will get in

I don't think so...

He DOES have 2 SB wins, so that gets him into the conversation.
He honestly doesn't have anything else to speak of.

Like somebody else pointed out, he's basically the 10th best QB of his era.

Agree but the position has changed a great deal. Players from even the 90s don't compare to the players of the 2010s.

Good discussion. I think it’s a debate for sure. My no side is focusing on how that Top 10 status isn’t gonna last long. The 2 rings are most compelling and subjectively, that game/Win was epic and so memorable.

This is meaningless given the era he payed in.

He will get in, I’m not convinced he deserves it.

He's getting in.

I'd say he is a lock.

I understand. It’s not like you have that kind of time

I’ll also add, if he had the exact same career but played in Jacksonville, Minnesota or somewhere not NYC or LA, he’d be a lot less likely to get in.

Seeing Darren Sproles on the list giving me big EA Sports NCAA 2003 nostalgia vibes.

Edit: let your opponent pick Oklahoma etc. You pick Kansas St and run the triple option and thanks for playing try again.

Pretty sure that gets you a HOF spot in the MLB

Two great defenses dragged the opponent down so he only needed to hit a few big passes late in Super Bowls and that is why he will make it to Canton.

If you're going to credit the defenses for his Super Bowl success, then you also need to blame his coaches, franchise management, and offensive line for his late-career problems.

Eli was all they had for the last 5 years or so. It was painful watching trying to lead that garbage roster. He was forced into risky situations and that's why his interceptions went sky-high later in his career.

I said I’m not sure if he was ever named All-Pro. According to others, he wasn’t. I couldn’t remember.

This is incredibly easy to google.

Also: Walter Payton Man of the Year award(2016), Bart Starr award(2020)

And his 2x SB MVP makes him only one of 6 to ever receive multiple SB MVP's.

The only person not named Nick Foles to ever beat Tom Brady in a Super Bowl

And when your name is in the same breath as Big Dick Nick, you know the caliber player you’re talking about.
