Well I don't know about all that. I mean I doubt you could find very many 17 year olds who don't enjoy being the center of attention. It doesn't make them bad people though. I just think a lot of these guys handle this stuff poorly. Someone needs to pull him aside and let him know that coming out and basically admitting his commitments are meaningless isn't a great way of conducting himself in public. I'm sure he will grow up once he gets to college though. Most people do.

Yeah and I saw him get waylay-ed by Heber Springs High School -- he was shut down like he was nothing because no one was there -- Very Impressive
Remember that he plays at a 3A sized school that plays in 5A because they are a private school. Also, many people that watch LRCA play on Fridays say that they don't have much offense other than Dyer and that their O-Line supposedly isn't very good either.
If what those people are saying is true, one bad game can be excused.

the guy is acting like such a primadonna over this. MOst guys that want all this attention usually turn out to be busts. My dentist has a son on his team and was telling me a couple weeks ago MIchael isn't even trying very hard on the field this year.

Same thing was said about Julio Jones. Everyone here in Foley knew he was a Bama lock but he still took visits to Oklahoma, Florida, and FSU after his Bama visit. I think the kids are just enjoying their time in the spotlight.

He is committing to Auburn and he will take his officials. So what? This kid is a special talent and will be a nice addition. You have to recruit to win and I'm glad this soaching staff can recruit. It beats what Tubbs did down on the Plains in terms of recruiting. Of course we are in the rebuilding process. Now bring on Reed!

If the recruiting process is not over, why commit?

No...
If you look at history...I believe the last high profile recruit that left the state from Little Rock was Keith Jackson...
I don't doubt the kid gives his verbal to AU, but his recruitment is going just like he said it would...make it a big deal
He told Arkansas fans to pray really really hard and we'll get what we want...
My church last 2 hours...I got lots of time to pray for Dyer

It's not even close to the same situation as Julio's. Julio committed/signed to Alabama on National Signing Day. He didn't pull some bullshite "commitment but still taking visit" approach to his recruitment. STFU and GTFO.

But you are right even if he verbals it is not the end of it by any means... especially when he still wants to take visits.

You are in fact wrong and a douche. Julio did tell everyone here he was Bama bound and yet still took visits. I personally know Julio Jones, have coached him, know his family and currently coach two of his nephews. He was even photographed in an Oklahoma sweatshirt during his recruitment and took visits to the schools I mentioned. You my friend have no idea what you are talking about and need to take your huge postcount back to the Bama boards and pray I dont find out what trailer park you live in.

"commitment but still taking visit" approach to his recruitment

Two points about this quote. First of all, if you announce who you are going to commit to isn't that technically a commitment? I could understand if he said "I'm going to sign with Auburn", but why would you announce your intentions to announce your intentions of going to play for a certain school. Second, why is he committing to anyone if by his own admission the recruiting process will continue and thus make his commitment meaningless?
First it's pretty obvious even to a layman that he didn't want to commit like this...seems likely that he was hounded, got frustrated and let the cat out of the bag. So the guy is going to take more trips...think of this as a clear cut way of saying auburn is my leader and you're going to have to blow me away to change my mind. That atleast quashes the 50/50 60/40 bs.
Now back to reading the same rehtoric...long time to NSD, we didn't want him, he's no good stuff.

Did the great Tubs tell him this? Or was it one of the BBQ boys?

WHoever told him that was dead on the money, don't you think?

You are out of your fricking mind, kid. Julio Jones DID NOT COMMIT TO ANYONE UNTIL NATIONAL SIGNING DAY!!! Of course he took visits you fricking idiot. It's called the recruiting process. Just because everyone "assumed" he was going to Bama does not mean Jones was committed to Bama. Shut the frick up before I come to your outhouse and kick it over with you in it.
