A&M thinking they can just throw money at a situation is how they got here in the first place. It's fun to watch.
I can't agree more.
Recruits who are only eyeballing college money are a dime a dozen. That is why the transfer portal is now so popular, but also so unreliable.

A&M needs a coach that has the burning desire to take A&M to a place it isn't been to since 1939. If he deserves to be paid handsomely because of the job and resume then obviously he should be paid.
Offering Bill Parcels, Saban, Kirby, Gruden, or the ghost of Bear Byrant $87 Trillion isn't going to get you that.
Like your communist big brother in Austin, A&M doesn't understand that.

Before you struck gold with the trifecta of Kirby, transfer portal, and NIL being approved what were you?
A top 12 program historically, in a talent rich state, that had conference titles but came up just short of the big one on multiple occasions.
If you think Kirby’s success is due to the transfer portal and NIL, you’re obtuse and not to be taken seriously.

Why would he leave Georgia? He played there, grew up pulling for them, etc. He'll never be able to spend what Georgia is and has paid him now.

It wouldn’t matter if you hired Bill Belichick as HC, Saban as your DC and Sean Payton as your OC. You still ain’t winning shite because your program is soft as charmin

Damn, you start the dumbest threads

Leipold is the only answer for A&M. Also how did your AD ascend to his position? He sounds like an absolute dork.

GA paid Kirby a lot more than you paid Jimbo
GA has deep pockets too

The real problem for A&M, and other schools in that region for that matter, is that Texas HS football is incredibly soft. No defense whatsoever. Just watching how TCU lined up last year against UGA made me laugh. Hate it that 2 of Georgia’s most highly rated recruits on defense next year are from Texas.

To 10 things that will never happen.
Your AD is going to offer a man who has won back to back championships, on the verge of a third? Not to mention that Smart also played and graduated from UGA. Good luck, but this will never happen.

Kirbs has a $90M buyout. It will take 3 dump trucks.

I called him and told him there would be a dump truck full of hundred dollar bills at his house tomorrow and he said "No".
Now what?
Now what?

He already has said no he’s at UGA and not at A@M

The answer for A&M, imo, is Urban.
