OP Kirby isnt ever leaving UGA for another job much less one that has a broken culture.

He also wont be another Saban, Bowden or Paterno and coach into his 70's. Too many headaches due to NIL and the portal and he has already made life changing money.

I never cared for Kirby when he was at Bammer but respect what he has done at UGA

BULL shite

Before you struck gold with the trifecta of Kirby, transfer portal, and NIL being approved what were you?

How long Kirby coaches is an interesting question.

On one hand, I agree with you in that the headache stuff might drive him to retire sooner.

On the other hand, I do think Kirby is one of those coaches who LOVES coaching and may not want to do much other than coach. Saban is another guy like that.

If the headaches are too great, I wouldn't be shocked if Kirby retires and becomes a high school coach in Athens for his retirement.

There’s so much to unpack here.

1. UGA has used the transfer portal less than any other SEC team, so kind of a dumb point

2. What other school has a better combo of in-state talent, unlimited recruiting/football budget, and quality of student/athlete life than UGA? Not to mention there is virtually no in-state competition for recruiting.

This is why Georgia is considered the top job in the country these days. It has everything a coach could ever want.

To some people, titles are worth more than money. At Georgia he has both.

Why would he leave a school, that he wins Nattys at for a school that hasn’t won 1 in the modern era. A school he is An Alumn at. A state that he is at the number 1 school in that state. Why would he leave for a a historical 60% program?

Why bother responding to something so ridiculously stupid from an idiot without a clue? Its a waste of typing.

This is 100% true. The GOAT realized he had made a huge mistake less than 6 months after he left LSU for the NFL. He told Jimmy Sexton if it looked like the LSU, Bammer or UGA jobs might have a opening he had his permission to initiate talks with those 3 schools.

It was pretty obvious that UGA was close under CMR, he just wasnt willing to play the games it takes to get to the next level.

The talent in Ga is insane. I remember when Robert Nkemdiche was a Sr in HS 7-8 kids just from Gwinnett County signed with SEC schools

A top 3 program in SEC history and a top 12 program in CFB history.

Just because we're now in an era of success LSU has never accomplished don't pretend we've historically been an ole miss level program.

CMR - love the man - but the program turned into a country club atmosphere after 2012 (maybe even 2010, but Gurley/Murray et all sheer talent kept them afloat)

Yall are gonna end up with Lane Kiffen. That loser will gladly tell The Piss to kiss his arse for the right price. You hired a loser 5 years ago - don't to do it again.
