When a team schedules shitty teams then yes, it should be held against them. Alabama didn't do that.

I'm sorry...didn't you all play a NON-FBS school?

Who put up 200+ yds on the ground...and you're going to say you had a touch schedule?

Correct. Comes down to who can make the stronger case at the correct time.

But a case could have been made for OSU to be anywhere from 2nd to 5th or 6th...? It's seemed painfully obvious that it would have been more of a tragedy if OSU made it in over Alabama rather than the other way around. Alabama was getting voted 2nd because people think they are just better. OSU was getting voted 2nd just so there wouldn't be a rematch. I mean, c'mon.

Holy cow

Wow!....Look Bama got in, we know what went down. Your attempts to justify the process, and votes, are failing....just quit! Yeah, we know Saban put OSU 4th, and Miles put Bama 2nd.....Everyone knows whats up.

I'm just getting tired of the "BCS put Bama in so they were obviously the best and most deserving" crowd.

I realize that. This year you could look at Alabama and pretty much know what you have. You can tell they are VERY good. It's harder to do that with OSU and showed when they were getting 7th and 8th place votes. They really benefited form playing on the last day and VT losing. That shouldn't have strengthened their case either but it did.

Does it piss you off that Les thinks Bama is the second best team, thus more deserving team?

Any one of OSU's very close wins over mediocre teams?
The only close wins were against texas a&m and texas who is ranked #24 in the final bcs poll.

What would you say is more impressive and telling of how good they are. Alabama's loss to LSU? Any one of OSU's very close wins over mediocre teams? Or Stanford's win over USC? Rank them
Why should I just have to rank those? Why can't I rank their overall schedules by what they accomplished?
I would go OSU>Bama>Stanford

You could say Stanford's win over USC was more impressive than any win OSU had.
Ok. What's their second best win? Or third? Or fourth?
That's where that argument falls apart.

Why would that piss me off? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

There's a difference between best and most deserving. I think Bama is the 2nd best team, but not necessarily the 2nd most deserving team.

I honestly understand it. It just seemed like people really had to dress them up to have a chance to look better than Alabama. And the anti rematch stuff had absolutely nothing to do with the two teams' ability and really helped OSU. That's crap.

Who else did each team beat? All Alabama fans love to focus in on just losses since that's the one category yall have over everyone else.

It seems we can all admit if we're trying to be objective that you see both sides of the argument only using the evidence that best supports their case. (Alabama fans focusing on lowa St, Oklahoma St focused on "blind" polls that leave out losses ect etc ect or using computer rankings where the BIG12 looks better than in human polls)

Again, I said that I personally would vote Oklahoma St over Stanford for the reasons you mention but to say it's say so beyond any argument that someone is more impressed by Stanford beating USC and not choking against a 6-6 team than Oklahoma St beating a lot of teams that are ranked between 15-35 is hyperbolic.

Stanford didn't have any trouble with Notre Dame either if it's so important how a team should play against bottom of the TOP25 competition.

It only seemed that way because ESPN and the media were deepthroating bama as much as possible.

I agree with this. I just think based off the body of work, OSU was more deserving.

Seriously, that's beyond idiotic.
