No shite. Mostly based on the relationships created with Brick, Raymond, Wilson, etc. Look at how many guys have Kirby Smith listed as their recruiter on Rivals. You might see Chavis' name their once or twice in the past few years.
If Chavis didn't put forth a lot of effort on the recruiting trail then that's Miles fault. It's Miles team, he is the boss the dictates what everyone of his coaches are supposed to do every day.
Sorry, to call an asst coach or a coordinator lazy just reflects poorly on the man in charge.

It's give and take with Chief. As long as he putting a D on the field it's no big deal. Give up 5 games in 2 years in the last 2 minutes and it gets old.

Why is he solely responsible for that?

Have you watched our games? LSU under Chavis has always had the propensity to give up easy money in the 2 minute.
We held AJ McCarron to one completion in the 2nd half of the 2012 Bama game...........only to let him complete 5 straight on the final drive.

How many points and yards did the offense put up in each of these games?

Mettenburger threw for 293 and we scored 20......
This argument will never hold water bro..........Aggies aren't setting the offensive landscape on fire post JFF.

Enough to win. That's kind of the point.

More than A&M each time

In 1965 maybe but on average what LSU puts up is on the low end of the scoring spectrum.

With A&M's offense going up against Chavis.
Last year's offense ranks - A&M #28, LSU #74

Maybe but we were still in position to win games with 2 minutes left and we watched our DC completely change his defense to soft zone coverage and let the offenses go right down the field.

Would you prefer a defense that gives up points every drive of every game? If A&Ms only issue is giving up points the last drive instead of every drive I'll be ecstatic.

No one said LSU was lighting up the scoreboard. All I'm saying is it's been a pattern with Chavis. UT warned LSU fans and now LSU fans are warning y'all.

Well that's good
If you think your defense was the problem I'm not sure what to tell you

2 months ago would you have supported Les Miles if he decided to fire Chavis and hire Kevin Steele to replace him?

If you don't think your Offense is part of the problem for A&M, I don't know what to tell you.

A pattern of what? Top 20 defenses?

Not even a little bit. However, Chavis' defense gave up some pretty big games and LSU managed to have some pretty good defenses without Chavis. We'll be fine.

Great defense at LSU isn't exclusive to the Chavis years.
