Mizzou's defense is good but Florida has the better defense between the line and secondary combined. And right now, Florida has the better offense. I don't know that Lock changes that unless Hansbrough really comes on at RB. Florida is in the better position there with the combo of Grier and Taylor.

This is how I feel as well. If the offense can see any kind of improvement then this Mizzou team gets interesting. Will Lock make the difference? I guess we will find out.

Eh, I disagree. I think that UF has a better secondary but Mizzou has the better DL and LB.

It is what it is, ifs and buts and all that shite.
However, if Towles makes the same throws against UF then UK beats them as well. The guy just played a really good game, and it certainly didn't hurt they knew every time we were in cover 2. Not to mention the phantom PI call that lead directly to a TD....

Bullard, McCalister, and Ivie combined are what make that Florida line better. Harris was hard to keep out of the backfield against y'all but we flat out couldn't get enough bodies to block to keep Florida's line off of Towles. It's a good majority of the reason he had such a dismal performance against Florida. All three of those guys are Top 10 in sacks in the SEC right now.
And when I looked earlier I believe the only two defensive categories they aren't statistically better is tackles and INT (tied). And that's against a stronger schedule.

That being said the PI call was on third down so without it you would not have scored.

There are a lot of dumb Mizzou fans who say the WR's can't catch and that is completely inaccurate. Every WR will drop a pass or so....Maty Mauk is one of the most inaccurate passers in football and throws an ugly ball as well. Its hard for WR's to catch that. Mizzou has a lot of very young and talented WR's. Hansbrough is getting healthy...Lock is much better passer than Mauk. I expect Mizzou to finish strong...but I don't think we will win the East. Georgia looks pretty legit this year.

The PI call on Mizzou was an absolute joke and turned the game around. And yes, the PI call on Kentucky was the correct call on the pick 6 by Mauk.

Our back up RBs need to learn how to give that second effort. I saw multiple times where Hans got hit and drove his feet in (Maybe drove backwards) to get us a 1st down. Witter just gets hit and goes down.

Surely that is not the call they are referring to? Their DB literally tackles Brown.
Now, it was a shittastic decision and throw by Mauk and it would have been intercepted without the PI but it was absolutely the correct call.

Seen a lot of Kentucky fans complain about that call when Mizzou complains about the 3rd down call

I would probably be complaining too if I were them tbh. It really had no effect on the play. However, DBs can not tackle WRs when the ball is in the air. It's kind of against the rules.

And it's a shitty bitching point when you consider that the call was made in the third quarter. You act like UK would've definitely not scored at any point after that.
That all said, to get back to your initial point, it shouldn't be shocking that Towles had a good game. It's not some anomaly that he played like one of the better QBs in the conference because he did so last season too.
To hear you tell it, he's never played a big game in conference before or isn't a very good QB.
