Where do you believe Fournette would be on the Bama depth chart at this point in his career?

I'm happy for Leonard. I didn't bring up TJ. And I don't think anybody compared TJ to AD

You brought up TJ's stats as some kind of knock against what Fournette has done when they essentially did the same thing through the first 5 games.

That's fair with Drake's ball security issues.

Yes, Fournette was able to control what people said about him. That's fair.

He struck a Heisman pose after a touchdown against an FCS team, I think it's fair to say he bought into the hype as well.

I'm sorry hoohoo. I will be interested to watch Leonard progress through the season. I actually thought Williams looked better the first few games. No offense.

He struck the Heisman pose. Let's judge him by a different standard than everyone else.

Did you watch the last game? It was his first 100+ yard game. Leonard is starting to get it. And he looks good, son. Real good.

Are you a Saints fan by any chance?

Why? Is this relevant to our discussion of Fournette?

That NM St. team was one of the worst D1 teams I've seen in the past 5 years. No joke. Good for Leonard. I even started a thread congratulating him.

I'll take that as a no.

So Leonard has had a decent start to his career thus far. He hasn't been terrible but he certainly hasn't lived up to his lofty expectations. Would you say that's a fair assessment?

If yes, is that Leonard's fault? Leonard didn't rate himself a 5 star, he didn't compare himself to Adrian Peterson, and he didn't sit himself at the top of 247 player rankings. Leonard has started off ok, just not as well as expected. Would you say that's a fair assessment, even though Leonard has no control over what others judged his talent level to be? He's performed as well in his short career as other good backs have done in the past early in their careers, he was just expected to do more because of what he accomplished at the previous level. Would you agree with all of that?

They are the 120th ranked defense out of 124 teams. 6 spots behind Old Dominion. But I digress. There is a lot of tough ball to be played. LSU will need LF to step up.

Yes, but the expectations placed upon him made this an almost inevitable conclusion. Leonard has performed well. He leads LSU in rushing yards and all-purpose yards.

The fact that you can't get over the "expectations" and judge the player in front of you is telling. You are more concerned with the talk than the actual game.

Expectations are in the past. Leonard is playing SEC football now. He is playing well and getting better. Would you agree with all of that?

Also, WTF was with the cryptic shite about the Saints? Are you a Saints fan? What NFL team do you root for? Should I give a shite?

I see the logic you are judging Leonard on, pretty fair and straightforward logic honestly. So, are you a saints fan? It's a yes or no question

I found this interesting:

Leonard Fournette between quarterbacks. Take it FWIW.

w/AJ: 34 carries 176 (5.2) yards 2TD
w/BH: 22 carries 146 (6.6) yards 2TD

That I don't feel like answering until I have a good reason. You want to play? You move first.
