That's the million dollar question.

Only this year we have a much more talented option backing him up.

He's deceptively fast. He looks like 4.6 speed, but it's closer to 4.4.

Homer much? Williams hasn't played a snap of division 1 football. Coates had a good year in 2013 but was meh in 2012

As far as deepest WR corps goes, it's bama and everyone else. Cooper is the best in the league. Christion Jones and Deandrew White return. Chris Black and Robert Foster, both former 5 stars, are set for playing time this year. Then you have guys like Stewart, Sims, and Falkins backing them up. It's an embarrassment of talent that Auburn can't come close to approaching at that position.

Marquez North
LaVon Pearson
Josh Malone
Jason Croom
Pig Howard (Questionable)

Should cause a few nightmares this year. (Hopefully)

He's sneaky fast. You don't think he'll get by you than he's got three steps and he's gone. I hope we have a QB talented enough to use him to his full potential cause he's got a lot.

We have some serious/I mean really serious weapons on O. In fact, I think it will continue to be the most explosive O in the SEC. It will be better than it was last year and that is saying something.

Yeah, I think this will be my last sunshine pump thread because it all sounds too good to be true. Our passing game seemed non-existent last year compared to the options we'll have this year and combine that with the running attack, how can you not be excited?

I think I'm going to temper my expectations by focusing on the defense

Because Williams hasn't played a snap of division 1 football and you're crowning him as half of the best duo in the league. Jones, White, and Cooper have all been productive at this level

Fred Rouse and Patrick Turner were can't miss receiver prospects too. Then they got to college.

And when healthy, cooper is better than Coates. This season will reflect it, and the draft will reflect it.

That's great for Sammie and all, but Bama's receivers out performed Auburn's by a good bit. By all accounts, Williams is a great talent, but I think crowning those two is pretty baseless at this time. Right now, Bama is much deeper on paper.

Just about everyone who played for Auburn had a meh year in 2012. Coates had a better year than Cooper in 2013, but Cooper is quite talented.

As far as Williams goes Auburn fans are just as excited about him as Bama fans were about Cooper before he ever took to the field. There is a lot to be excited about in terms of potential.

Marcus Davis will play a bigger role as a possession receiver. Louis will provide more solid play as a back up. Tuitt is getting rave reviews during Spring and has major speed. Stephens needs to prove himself.

With all that said I don't think we are the deepest, but we have very good depth and finally some real talent to go along with a very productive run game. I'm stoked over the potential of the 2014 offense.

Sammie Coates isn't the best wide receiver on Auburn's team, and that will be reflected by Duke Williams' production as the #1 receiver.

And should I dig up your posts about Jacob Coker?

Dont be foolish. Both will be NFL receivers and both will have successful seasons in 2014. Where they are drafted doesnt mean chit

Yea I agree with all that. Williams may end up being the best receiver to ever play in this league, but as of today he hasn't taken a snap, so naming him a part of the best duo in the league as if it isn't debatable is inconceivably premature.

I don't think Auburn is the deepest, but people are selling them short. Some Alabama fans can't stand the thought of an Auburn player being better than an Alabama player though, so it is what it is (not referring to anyone specific).

What's the difference in that and all of the bama fans blowing Coker?

there is exactly 1 person on there anyone has ever heard of. if you are just listing wide receivers, then every team has approximately the same amount. also, auburn board.

It's a posters opinion. I have seen much worse on here. Of course he knows it is debatable which is why he made the thread to generate debate. Do you really think TT's expected everyone to agree? Come on man.

Easter basket full of alcohol. That's what I'll be waking up to in Auburn this coming weekend.
