Quan Bray and Melvin Ray

I'll take a wait and see approach with Quan Bray but I do like Melvin Ray. Seems like he's become a leader and added maturity to the WR room to go along with Coates

Also, to everyone dismissing Coates, he finished third in the nation in yards per catch with a "defensive back" throwing him the ball. So just think what he'll be able to do in year 2 in the same system with the same QB

What are that incredible duo's stats at Auburn? Cuz they don't touch Cooper and Jones, or Cooper and White, etc.

Sammie Coates

The only one that has done shite to be on your list.

Duke Williams

Has the talent to be best WR in the SEC. We'll see though.

quote:

Ricardo Louis

Has been pretty underwhelming so far besides one play. He's been getting better though.

quote:

Marcus Davis

Has potential. I really like him. Still pretty unproven though.

quote:

Tony Stevens

Same as Davis.

quote:

Stanton Truitt

True Freshman that hasn't played a snap.

Jaylon Denson

Great Blocking WR.

No. You got way to far ahead of yourself.

Nope. It's South Carolina by far.

JR Shaq Roland- 4* WR, SC "Mr. Football"
SR Damiere Byrd- 4* WR
RS SR Nick Jones
JR Jerell Adams- 4* TE
Rory Anderson
Pharoh Cooper- 4* ATH, Freshman All-SEC
Drew Owens
Kane Whitehurst

The first 17 passes in our spring game were to 17 different receivers.

Well, for starters, Sammie Coates outperformed Amari Cooper last year...even though I view them as nearly equal talents. Duke Williams is better than Sammie Coates, though.

They might. It's a nasty group. especially if Legend of Quille Williams is even half true.

People also need to realize even with Moncrief leaving our group of wideouts is still pretty damn good:

Laquon Treadwell - You already know
Vince Sanders - 5th year - big, possession type receiver
Quincy Adeboyejo - 4* recruit, 6"3 slot wr who got his feet a wet as a true freshman last season
Evan Engram - Was well on his way to consensus AA honors before breaking his arm midseason. Busted his arse in rehab to make it back for the bowl game and looked great in spring.
Collins Moore - Solid player who's had an injury-riddled career but is a talented, physical player who had a good, (and healthy) spring.

Then throw freshmen Sammie Epps and Markell Pack into the mix.

I'm not gonna say we have the best WRs, but we are up there.

Good size. I wish Cooper would grow an inch or two and keep his speed

I like my WRs of the tall lanky type

This is the deepest WR corps I can remember. We need for Davis to improve his hands. Stevens showed flashes. I am looking forward to seeing Truitt. Duke is the one that will put us over the top. We have some serious/I mean really serious weapons on O. In fact, I think it will continue to be the most explosive O in the SEC. It will be better than it was last year and that is saying something. SEC West, prepare thy anus!

It's the offseason. Now' s the time for unrealistic expectations. Once the games are actually played all we're left with are the cold, hard, facts

Auburn has the best wide receiver duo, in the SEC, in Duke Williams and Sammie Coates, but I'm not sure about the deepest.

Homer much? Williams hasn't played a snap of division 1 football. Coates had a good year in 2013 but was meh in 2012

As far as deepest WR corps goes, it's bama and everyone else. Cooper is the best in the league. Christion Jones and Deandrew White return. Chris Black and Robert Foster, both former 5 stars, are set for playing time this year. Then you have guys like Stewart, Sims, and Falkins backing them up. It's an embarrassment of talent that Auburn can't come close to approaching at that position.

He's listed at 6'1 but he's probably closer to 6 even.

How can you call me a homer, and then turn around and type that second paragraph?

Duke Williams and Sammie Coates are the best duo in the league. No doubt. And Duke Williams is the best wide receiver Auburn has on roster.
