Well...Clemson is pretty much Auburn but with a lake.

the schools are not any more similar than any other large state university.
i would say Miss State is closet to Clemson in SEC b/c both have the military heritage and a drillfield. plus Dr. Clemson in his will said he wanted CLemson modeled after Miss State.

State gets a bad rap, but we've scheduled tough at times and are amping it up.

I wish we played Washington in Husky Stadium.
It is such an awesome location.

So sick of these neutral site games. Our attendance at these neutral games will keep going down, and Saban will start bitching, but eventually our AD has to realize that no fan base in America can travel to 3-4 neutral site games a year in mass numbers. How about we host a great non-conference team for the first time in forever? Or get to experience a new campus on the road for a change? We have worn the hell out of the turf in Atlanta and Dallas. There are only so many times you can visit those two places without getting boredom fatigue. And who the hell wants to see a Louisville game in Orlando in September? If we are this legendary dynasty, why are we so damn scared to play a true road game against a quality non conference team? We are the only team in America that plays this amount of neutral site openers.

How many times are you gonna lose this argument?

I think several schools do a good job. I have been pleased, for the most part, of the job Auburn has done with the scheduling. Playing Clemson so often does get a tad old though.

how did i lose it?
do you think Clemson and AUburn having the same mascot means the schools are exactly alike. lol

Your mascot was taken to Clemson by John Heisman who's last coaching was stop Auburn and he wanted to emulate Auburn at Clemson
Your colors are orange and purple because Heisman brought with him to Clemson some practice jerseys from Auburn and our blue faded to purple which yall decided to roll with
The first 3 football coaches in Clemson history were Auburn grads, including Walter Riggs who is known as "The Father of Clemson Athletics"
Clemson owes it's athletic identity to Auburn. It's documented history. There's no use denying it. dwi

if he wanted Clemson to emulate Auburn, why didn't he just stay at Auburn. lol he obviously couldn't wait to leave Auburn given CLemson wasn't a prime job back then.
the clemson and Auburn uniforms dont' look anything alike and never have in the televised era.
Some AUburn guys coming over to Clemson doesn't mean Clemson and AUburn are more similar than other universities.
if CLemson was copying Auburn, it would have the war eagle, rolling trees, etc and it wouldn't have the rock and running down the hill, etc.
you guys never ask why these Auburn guys left Auburn to go to Clemson. and i believe they were all at Clemson prior to the lake even being there. lol

Certain aspects were copied. That doesn't mean everything was copied, DA. Are you always this dumb?
And the reason why the uniforms don't look alike is because we gave away our practice jerseys to Clemson. The colors in those jerseys turned.

They wanted to give to the poors.

so Auburn use to feature orange in their uniforms?
i don't doubt CLemson may have used some old Auburn uniforms in their first seasons but obviously the uniforms don't look similar now.

Because Heisman made it his life mission to spread the game of football as much as possible. The only place he stayed to coach more than a couple years was his Alma Mater, Georgia Tech.
Nobody said anything about our uniforms looking similar. Believe nobody else wants uniforms as ugly as Clemsons. I said that you got your colors and mascot from Auburn, which you can't deny.
Why do you have such a hard time with this? Everybody else associated with Clemson had no problem acknowledging our connection to the start of your Athletics Department. There's articles galore from Clemson sites if you Google. You seem to be the only one upset by this.

They were practice jerseys. Who knows. We still have non touchable QBs wearing green, orange, whatever. The concept isn't that unheard of.

No. Not in the slightest. But we do have a decent future slate.

the wikipedia page says the tiger mascot was based on Princeton who was good at football at the time. supposedly Riggs from Auburn was big on Princeton, and probably AUburn used Tigers because of Princeton.
tigers is the 2nd most popular mascot, LSU, Missouri, Memphis, etc, all tigers.
who cares about the mascot though, that is kids stuff. lol i think a lot of people think Auburn's mascot is the war eagle, and some think it is Plainsmen.
Purple and navy are not the same color. lol
it is funny you say Clemson stole its uniform colors from Auburn , but then you say CLemson uniforms are ugly. lol seems like a contradiction.

The navy faded to purple. Dyes used in clothing were different back then. Google it.

I said you got your colors from us. That is not the same as stealing our uniforms. Do you really think that Auburn and Clemson are still wearing the same uniforms they were wearing in 1900?
Either way, every aspect of your athletic identity is stolen. Whether from Auburn, LSU, Princeton, or the freaking desert, everything you are is stolen.

we didn't get purple from Auburn if your uniforms are not purple.
Did we steal Watson, Mike Williams, etc from you? lol seem like the players are the most important part.
