Probably not but they appear to have a good QB, Muschamp coaching the D and they've been recruiting well so I don't really have a problem with them being favored.

Honestly I'd rather see them win the pre-season than Bama again.

Depending on how Gus and Will play it, it could work or it could blow up in their faces. If Will is truly left alone to run the D, no reason they won't be at least marginally better this year. If Gus gets involved, it could cause a massive ego battle.

This won't be an issue for Gus. He left the D alone for Ellis come hell or high water. He doesn't like to mettle. He learned the downside of that from Chizik.

Then Auburn should be the favorite if the QB is even remotely as good as people say.

Who is the RB supposed to be, and what are expectations for him? I'm interested since both ESPN people had Auburn playing OSU down in Miami for the Orange

Our RB race seems to be a toss up between 5* RB Roc Thomas and 5* JUCO RB Jovon Robinson. We also have a very talented 3* RB in Peyton Barber who is a hoss.

Our biggest strength on O will probably be our OL though. Our starting lineup should be great and probably 7 deep without losing too much.

LT- Shon Coleman (5* that struggled mightily in pass pro. Last yr was his 1st season starting. Insanely talented, perfect measureables tho)

LG- Alex Kozan (frosh All American. Graded higher by NFL scouts than anyone on the team in the NC game vs. FSU)

C- Austin Golson (Ole Miss xfer who started as a frosh at RT for them. Unknown as a center but has gotten rave reviews)

RG- Braden Smith ( LINK ...strongest human on the team by far. Absolutely amazing athlete. Will end up a LT)

RT- Avery Young (Jr that is 100% leaving early after this year. Flipped btwn Guard and tackle a lot. Set the AU record for "knockdowns" last year).

Incorrect. Hanged is the correct past tense verb when talking about death by hanging.

Might want to brush up on your grammar.

What are your biggest concerns for Auburn this year?

OSU really doesn't have TOO many, but I'm a bit worried about replacing our deep threat in Smith and finding some depth at DT. Also I guess I'm a bit worried about our OL coach being the new OC, but he called plays when Kansas made a run to a BCS game so he has experience (and the horses)

Secondary depth. Not even a close 2nd place there. Auburn is well stocked in literally every other postion. We have a really, really good starting 2 corners and starting 2 safeties. I'd put those 4 up there with most anyone. But once you get past them we're super super thin and will struggle if any of them have to come off of the field.

That doesn't seem like too much to worry about. I mean injuries happen of course but if that is the only issue...

Okay let me specify for you dipshits.

Out of the top SEC teams that are expected to compete for the SEC (AU, UA, LSU, and UGA) only one has an established starter. The rest have QUESTIONS about who will be their starting QB. Most experts and fans EXPECT Jeremy Johnson to be very good.

To the MSU fan that got butthurt, I specifically said other TOP teams in the conference have questions at QB. Despite State having a decent QB in Dak your team will still be a bottom feeder trying not to finish last in the division.

The dark horses have established starters, but Brandon Allen sucks and while Josh Dobbs is good nobody is seriously worried about Tennessee just yet.

I think what will help that issue is a very good DC, schematically, but most of all our pass rush. Our 3rd and long package will possibly feature the best front 4 out there, arguably. Those 4 could/would likely be:

Carl Lawson
Montravius Adams
Davonte Lambert
Byron Cowart (even tho he was the #1 player, I don't think he'll be more than a pass rush specialist in year 1).

But really, seriously, our secondary depth is awful. I PROMISE we will be playing at least 2 corners that are frosh. Carlton Davis and Jeremiah Dinson will probably be those guys.

This is the most talent Auburn has had in 10 years. We'd better capitalize.

I don't know if deserve is the right word but I won't be surprised at all if they are picked to win it by most "experts". I hope they are to tell the truth.
