He will build a legacy at Auburn, it will go from Auburn Arena to the "Pearl Arena"... I actually believe he will build a legacy at Auburn..

Reminds me of Saban (Great Coach who left one SEC school to have greater success at a rival SEC School).

agree ... i think he'll be there at least 5 ... he wouldn't leave unless uk/uk/ucla/unc/etc came calling, and the only one in that bunch that would call pearl is kentucky ...

Right... Because UK has ethics and would never hire a raging drunk (billy) or known cheat (cal).

Please don't start threads in the future that are so full of extreme jealousy. TIA.

Oh, and don't get too butthurt when Auburn has a nationally televised, sold out arena being shown all over ESPN many times before conference play. Interesting that Anderson didn't want to go to Auburn because we didn't 'woo' him. We got Lebo, suffered a while longer, but now have Pearl and you're in the NIT in year three. Present time is fun.

if cal retired/quit for the nba and pearl had taken auburn to 3 straight tourneys with increasing success, uk would not hesitate to call him ...

don't even go there ...

This is all moot. Pearl would never go to a second rate program like Auburn.

I don't think they would. What makes Pearl an attractive coach for so many isn't his coaching but that he can grab the attention of fans - Kentucky doesn't need that. There are better Xs and Os coaches out there and Kentucky would have their pick of the litter - energizing the fanbase wouldn't be a factor for them which is what separates Pearl most from other coaches.

I expect him to fulfill hid contract. I don't spend time worrying about coaches leaving. That can happen in this business.
