Says the guy that talked himself into a corner and is now unwilling to answer. Be a bigger bitch.

I acknowledged y'all won earlier in the thread. So enough of that deflection.

I said you wern't guaranteed points either way. Pretty straightforward. Conversion rates are only relevant when dealing with a large number of tries and we are discussing one specific drive with massive amounts of variables. Your conversion rates are meaningless when making an argument that the refs definitely lost you the game with that call. You simply don't know that.

Whatever you say chief. You made an assumption while chastising me for doing the same. You're a hypocrite.

No, I was very specific and you inferred something that was not there. Sorry about your ready problem.

Own your words. You made an assumption.

If he doesn't get flagged , in that instant, you still have the same points. Point being no points were taken away. You assumed I was talking about the outcome of subsequent plays and I was not.

So you think the odds of TD on goal to go are the same from the 5 and the 21 then. Make up your mind what dumbass stance you want to take.

I don't think they were very good either way. But the odds of you pussies bitching about how we beat that Tiger arse will always be 100%.

Then you're clearly a dumbass. Pretty much everyone on this site knows that already though, so it's not surprising.

I don't think it's better or worse than it's ever been.

What's different now is HD big screens and replay.

You got -1 yard on that drive. Why would you think you'd get 5?

Sadly,it depends on the crew. ANYTIME I see Hubert Owens (fat black guy) crew before a game I know the officiating will play a huge decision in the outcome...some of worst officiating I've ever seen...Penn Wagers crew ain't far behind.

But I thought it was completely bush league for Les to call em out Sat nt

Take a look at the Vandy/UGA game last year and you'll see calls that we're FAR worse than anything LSU experienced Sat but CMR didn't use
those clowns as an excuse for his loss.

Please tell us what led you to make this post today? Is there a particular game or play that finally pushed you over the top to where you had to speak out on the subject?
For what it's worth, I agree with the OP. They never had control of the game. They would blow a call against one team, and then come back with a pretty obvious makeup call. That crap happened all game, and it was like watching an umpire changing the strike zone all game long. Sure, the game stayed close, but not in a fluid fashion.

The personal foul call on LSU late showed a lack of composure... on the refs. Bama just fumbled, and were clawing and shoving all over the place. LSU was shoving right back. If you think the game is getting out of hand, you either huddle up both teams and lay down the law, or you call offsetting. I get that you don't want to cast a blind eye to something, but you don't immediately hammer either team with a game-changing call. It's the same principle as crowd control by cops- you do your "show of force", but don't immediately fire tear gas at the first guy who yells a curse word.

I think it's terrible. I also don't think it's biased.

Very inconsistent.

It was weird that they reviewed like 3 plays in a row then when a 4th play occurred that should have been reviewed, just went "ahhh ef it".

Its pretty terrible. Many times the refs look unsure as to the rules. Never seem sure of their calls.

They missed the face mask call, but we didnt get any other calls, and in fact were on the bad end of a few questionable, game changing calls.

It's biased at times but mostly just poor.

When we first joined the SEC, everyone kept telling us how we were going to have to get used to how bad the SEC officiating is. I dismissed it since officials always get a bad rap. However, in our third season so far, I can already tell a stark difference in quality of Big 12 officiating vs SEC officiating. And Big 12 officiating isn't great either, but it makes SEC officials look bad.

i think both are pretty bad. i will say the big difference is looking back at Big XII games that i can see it a bit more objectively because i don't have much of a dog in the fight. I'd just as soon see kansas, iowa state, or KState win the whole thing. so i don't bring a lot of subjective opinions to it.

I see Baylor get away with a crapton of stuff that they wouldn't have 5 years ago if they weren't on top like now. TCU ending was case in point. i can think of numerous games that had horrific calls that kept Texas in some games they should have lost: ISU a few years ago, 2010 Big XII championship game.

The fact is that there either aren't enough refs to see what is happening, or the refs aren't enforcing rules effectively.
