Your post does nothing to disprove it. Thanks though.

Like this had any bearing on the play whatsoever.

It had a huge impact on the play. First, it deprives the defense of time to identify and get set. Second, it should have backed you guys up. Third, Leon Brown comes in barreling after the play and gets a personal foul (he came in late, but it was a bad call).. and that personal foul is enforced in a much harsher way if the illegal shift is called.

Pushing off a defender grabbing his arm with both hands So, did he take his left hand and shove him off? Or did he shove him off with the arm that's being grabbed?

That pic doesn't show what you think it does.

By this same retarded logic, Alexander should not have been flagged.

And if he doesn't get flagged? You still have the same amount of points either way. No guarantee you get in the end zone. Quite assuming shite.

I haven't seen a replay, but if the guy upstairs sees it and isn't going to overturn it based in what he saw, do you really want him to stop it for review and give us a free time out?

I didn't assume anything.

Yes, that was a huge play and should have been reviewed imo. I credit y'all for getting a play off quick though.

2nd and goal from the 5.. two attempts with the risk of the fade (one of the only passes Jennings can throw), PA pass to the FB, FB dive, QB run that hurt Bama all night.. and LSU was averaging about 67% TD conversion in the endzone coming into the game.

Hell, with Miles.. we may have lined up and ran a QB sneak on 4th and goal from the 1. You never know.

You just assumed we'd have the same amount of points regardless of that flag.

He did review it, like every play from my understanding of how the process works, and would have called down if it was in question. I also thought one of yalls posters said yesterday les was advised not to call a TO from his people upstairs because it was a good catch.

the better instant replay and slow motion have gotten, the worse the refs have gotten.
SEC refs get a bad rap, but they do referee the toughest conference to call. SEC games are played at an incredible speed compared to other college conferences. And a lot more violent I might add.

Do you LSU fans ever stop bitching about referees?

It is fricking insane. Not everyone, but it's the same whiny arse posters here to bitch ad nauseum about play after play.

You bitch because of the personal foul on Alexander, but were fine with a lesser one your own player did against Florida, that drew the flag on the Gators.
I'll bet my life not a single one of you over the top ref bitchers, and you know who you are, said one damn thing about how Florida got "robbed" on that play.

GTFOI.

Get the frick over it.

His arm isn't being grabbed with any hands. You are hallucinating

Don't act like the flop actually drew the penalty against Florida. He slapped Adams in the facemask

Want to address the Alexander "penalty?" Or the replay official not reviewing y'all's "completed" pass when driving for the tying field goal?

Please consider not embarrassing yourself in the future.

But honestly, I think officiating is fine. In fact, most of the time it is quite good considering what they are asked to do. I think it is kind of funny when people at home slow down the video (and with multiple views) and say, "Oh how could he possibly have missed that call?" after viewing it frame to frame a dozen times.

IMO, the biggest changes have just been communication and technology. For example:

1)Before, we had blown calls. But, we had worse views and grainy pictures. So, probably did not get noticed as easily.

2)Goes with #1. Everyone has TiVo or some version of it. We record, slow it down, watch several replays and then want to point out something the ref didn't pick up in real time from an obscured view.

3)We have the internet. I remember controversial calls being accompanied with a snapshot in a newspaper. And passed through word of mouth complaints. Now, everything is enhanced and bad calls blow up message boards for days, weeks, months, or even years.

4)Change in generation. Every generation complains a little more and is a little more pessimistic. No one wants to admit they got bested. Instead, they want to call foul when they lose if possible.

Kind of like this:

But, I do agree that some measures could certainly be taken to eliminate potential blown calls. We've already introduced replay reviews so obviously eliminating human error is a desire in NCAA football. So, if the technology exists at a relatively cheap rate, why not utilize it?

You didn't score on that play. That flag didn't take points off the board. You had zero points as a result of that play. You assume that without the flag you get 6.
