They're both assholes with big egos. Assholes with big egos usually don't get along.

the decision to keep WM after '13

You my friend dont know much about UF and the situation..just blame folks to act knowledgable?

Maybe your memory is ragged...but Muschamp was only in 3rd year in 2013...he had taken us to BCS game the year before and we were recovering from his first season and our starting qb getting hurt badly early in 2011 and having NOT one decent RB.. In 2013 we lose Driskel (had no one else except average or below avg qbs and dont start with he should have recruited qbs...we had signed two AA qbs in Brissett and Driskel in 2011 class) Also in 2013 we had 15 players have season ending injuries, down to third string qb, no LBs, depth shot to hell etc etc NO ONE could have done much with the clusterfrick we had in 2013. 2014 was not good but still a thunderstorm and a dropped pass from being 9-3. Muschamp is unlucky as hell.
We now offensive minded HC and we will see what happens.

Foley has done more than you know obviously. He will leave when he is ready....not because ignorant fans think so.

Mullen has an odd personality and one that didn't mix well with Florida HS coaches. You don't have a chance under Foley if you can't be a top notch recruiter, especially in state.

My buddy did tell me this years ago that high school coaches in Florida didnt get like Mullen so that must be true.

But while we are bashing Mullen let me Tell you another story that I know about him because I was there. In 2011 a whatever year it was that Tebow came out he went to the Senior bowl along with one other player who was a wide receiver named Riley Cooper. Tebow got sick and didn't do any public appearances whatsoever. So Riley Cooper and Tebow were supposed to be the Florida football representatives at a booster club dinner function in Mobile that was to benefit scholarships. Since Tebow could not make it the only Florida player that was available was Cooper. Well at the last damn minute Riley Cooper decided upon the advice of his agent that he did not want to go to the booster club. (The POS agent wanted to negotiate a payment or something for this event that he had already committed too.) For the record Riley's dad told him to honor his commitment and go to the damn event. But also being a complete piece of shite he decided to ignore his Dad's advice, screw the booster club and go out with his agent and do coke run whores or whatever they were planning to do that night. All this took place in the lobby of the Renaissance Hotel.

This left the Florida alumni who would organize this big event in a huge mess. As he was in the lobby he ran into the Mississippi State alumni president in Mobile who he knew and explain the situation and ask him what he would do should he refund the money etc. Dan Mullen overheard this conversation and offered to help by going to the event and telling war stories jokes etc. about his time in Florida so they wouldn't have to refund all the money and could do teh scholarship. Since the Mississippi state event was practically done they allowed him to finish up their and go to the Florida event so they wouldn't have to refund all the money to the alumni.

I am not sure many other coaches in the SEC would ever even consider doing something like that. In my book, he can't be that bad of a guy to do something like that when he had no obligation to help them whatsoever.

Oh and about a fricking million fans camp camped out etc to get Tebow's autograph at the Meet the players event. They ask Cooper to stay and extra hour or so since he was the only other Florida player there and all their fans would not be so bummed and he said frick that too. Real POS who obviously doesn't give a frick about Florida or their fans.

Lay the crack pipe down. The bcs season was a fluke a blocked kick beat ULL. We lost to Ga Southern who had more injuries than we did and they didn't complete a pass. We were a missed delay of game penalty from losing to UK and UT last year. We could just as easily been 4-7. You sound like a Nole at the end of the BB era. He's built the program or he should leave when he's ready. Completely ignoring the problems with his decision making the last 5 years.

Back in the first year or two that Urbz and Mullen were in Gainesville, Mullen was pretty abrasive to former players, especially Spurrier's players, that would show up to watch the practices. Maybe Mullen didn't ingratiate himself to the 'Gator establishment.'

I'm not a Gator fan and thought he was being a jerk at that time with his actions.

More bullshite that never happened.

Except that it's almost unanimous among Fla HS coaches that they wanted Mullen as HC of Florida.

Stop taking it so personally
You have links to your claims? Poll results to this "unanimous" decision?
We get it, everyone but you thinks Dan is an a-hole

Mullen was tough his first 3-4 years. It was hard to like him. It was all about football. Mullen was hard on his own coaches. He was trying to change the culture at MSU. From players, fans & the administration.
He was tired of hearing (I & We) can't.
Quit saying poor ole MSU. What he has done for the program is kinda special.
He has actually mellowed some lately. He is still demanding, but he has coaches around him that expects the same thing.
You see him around Starkville and talking to people around town and being part of the community.

Cohen is the one you never see or doing anything around the community.

Would you honestly want to talk to Cohen though? All he would do is blame you for something or whine at you

Basically Foley told Mullen not to take the MSU job. Mullen told him he'd go to State and beat Fla's arse one day. And did
