The emotion and hate is there, between the two schools. But, it's ran its course, IMO. Bring on 9 team conference schedule.

Because of this rivalry, I won't be watching LSU play in Athens and Columbia for a decade.

Why do you guys all bitch about the TSIO?

I never see any equivalent amount of bitching about the AU-UGA game

they do the UF game. Hell, not even like the Vandy game anymore.

Well that's because they haven't had a chance of beating Bama in a decade. In the last 5 years they've been on near level footing with Florida and Vandy. UF has owned them as well, but a lot of those games have been close. They've really only played us close twice during our current run of domination over them.

We still hate Tennessee, Tennessee still hates Alabama. The only thing that has changed is the predictability of the game's outcome in recent years. This has lead to UT fans bending a knee and bowing to their overlords. They hate it, but they accept it. You goobers weren't posting on Tigerdroppings from 1996-2005 so you have no idea what type of hatred runs through the core of this game. We beat Tennessee's arse for a decade and then they turned around and did the same thing to us. We are now returning the favor. Judt because we aren't literally beating a dead horse doesn't mean we don't hate Tennessee. They are a program on life support, we don't hate that, they fricking deserve it

Of course you didn't. Why would you? They had a run there in the 90s where the rivalry was a thing. But it hasn't been competitive for a long time.

I'm not trying to knock UT. I root for them out of the east. SO is from Knoxville. Tons of friends that are fans/grads. I just don't see the hype in this game anymore like I did years ago.

I think all of it is ridiculous. If Alabama and Auburn are so concerned with keeping their rivalry game then move to the East.

If I can clear the schedule I might. Not sure, tho. I have a buddy who has a ticket for me in the Alabama section. :/

Bama wants to keep an easy East team on the schedule... 8 or 9 in a row does that.

Meh. I think it would be cool if Tennessee was good. The problem is, Butch isn't the guy. Bama/UT, Florida/LSU, and Auburn/UGA, Mizzou/Arkansas happening every year is fun.

This isn't going to happen. Whether you all like it or not, Alabama is the foundation and backbone of this conference.

The logical answer to all of this is a 9 game conference schedule, but too many coaches in this league would rather schedule Nicholls state or Western Carolina than play another conference game.
