I'm a huge ball guy but Bama basketball is just pathetic - I've lost all hope until Grant is gone.

So, until then . . .

Go Blazers!

Great. Didn't see it.

I'll assume it was great?

I don't know man, I watch ESPN less and less, and when football is over I like to spend my weekends actually doing something besides watching a meaningless game.

I love baseball, but I get the baseball haters. A game in July on a Wednesday really doesn't mean much in the small picture. Big picture, yeah, I get it.

College Basketball feels the same, except its played on random days of the week.

At least with MLB I know it's pretty much every day, and it's a series with every team.

frick it, they've lost me. I'm not gonna hate on youse guys that like it, but it ain't my cup of tea.

The reality of it is, I'm 37, and probably not in their demo anyway, however, if they're losing the 18-30 set. They got problems.

Not really. I stopped watching 2-3 years back when I realized how dumb the rules are.

Everything is a damn foul these days. A defensive player could literally be standing near the basket while an offensive player charges at him at full speed, but if he doesn't "set his feet", the foul is called on the defensive player.

Serious question. Is it not common for boys to grow up playing basketball in LA?

Won't even watch a NBA game, watch college basketball sometimes. Really don't give a damn, though.

This plays a part of it. When I got to Alabama I was amazed by the amount of people that could care less about basketball and never played it.

Yer missin' out. This is the golden age of professional hoops, tbh.

Interesting. Growing up in KY, everyone played everything until the early teen years/high school when it became more competitive and most kids picked one or two to stick with. By "everything" I mean football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and usually golf.

Yep. I really wish my league pass wasn't screwed up, so I could watch more.

I get Hawks games here , but I am some how blacked out to Grizzlies games.

I lived in Kentucky until I was about 12. It was basketball all the time for me then.

How I watch every game

I was extremely excited to watch an actual broadcast the other day when we played the Hawks, but after listening to their announcers I switched back to my laptop.

Listening to the other teams' announcers for Spurs games is a very mixed bag.

They're either overly effusive in their praise of the Spurs or openly hating from the opening tip

Yeah some times I can deal with it if I can't find a Memphis feed, but when it is someone like Atlanta when you can tell they really don't know anything about the Grizzlies it is painful.

I listened to a Clipper's feed a few weeks ago that was pretty good because you could tell they knew what they were talking about.

I don't know who does their commentary, but the Clips' announcers are always good.

It is funny when announcers don't know much about your team, though. Listening to them try to explain what just happened when Patty Mills went off a couple of games last year was

Really?

I watch the Clips out here, and I can tell you, unequivocally, this isn't the golden age of hoops.

That was 1992-93.

I'm about to sound like my dad here, but the court needs to be bigger for these gigantic no skills dudes.

Where's the post work? Where's the back door picks?

frick, I'm probably just an old white guy now...
