Do you pull for the SEC?

I love this topic, and I will argue like a lawyer and til I'm blue in the face......
In bowl games? In football non-conference regular season games? For Kentucky in the NCAA basketball tournament? For South Carolina last year in the college world series? What's your opinion?
I do, in every instance. Unless it directly hurts LSU to do so.

depends on the teams playing. if its miss. state then im pretty much going to pull for them unless it messes with LSU.
the other teams its all up to who i like more.
like in basketball usually id pull against uk but when they played unc and tosu i had to pull for uk

I hear you, but my opinion is that I will pull for the teams that ultimately make the conference look better. If Kentucky is playing UNC for the national championship in basketball, then I am pulling for them. If South Carolina is playing for the NC in baseball, then I am pulling for them.
The fact that the SEC has won the last 5 NC's in football makes us a recruting bed.

well id pull for uk over unc because i hate roy williams 
the conference will look fine win or lose its pretty well established. sometimes i want the sec to win but sometimes i just happen to like the other team better. i dont change who i like better by the conference they are in.

I never "like" the other team. EVER. In football I hope that the SEC wins every non-conference game. That means I pull for Ga to beat Ga Tech, Fla (whom I hate) to beat Fla St, S. Car to beat Clemson, etc. We got 9 teams into bowl games this year. And once we start losing the games I mentioned, that total will drop. And that goes for all sports.

Exactly. You would be surprised how many people I know pull for non-SEC teams to beat SEC teams because they "hate" them. It drives me crazy. I wish Florida would lose to us for the next 143,345 years in a row. But I hope they win every non-conference game they play.

And if you are truly an LSU fan, then you will hope that other SEC teams WIN on a regular basis! If not, then you can count on our conference getting less teams in bowl games, NCAA basketball tournament, NCAA baseball tournament. And at some point, that team left out will be LSU.

I'm a die-hard LSU fan. But of course, when LSU isn't in the national championship, but an SEC school is, I cheer for the good ol SEC!

Always, always, always. Hell, I was yelling Roll Tide and War Eagle the last two national championship games.

But LSU does not really have a rival so that works for you. I can't pull for Auburn. Just can't do it. I used to be able to, but not anymore.
Tennessee is hard but I can still muster up some half hearted cheers now that Phat Phil and Boy Wonder are gone.

I always cheer for the sec. Unless it hurts LSU. I will never say roll tide or war eagle though. I'm fine with geaux tigers.

I would say Yes 80% of the time,or there abouts.I don't like Callapari so I didn't pull for KY this past Tournament.As far as Football I pull for just about all the SEC Teams in Bowl or Non-Conference Games.I'm sure y'all know who I don't pull for.I even pull for Tennessee now that Dooley is their HC.

I pull for the SEC to be successful, no doubt, but i cant pull for another SECW team to win the NC.
The way i look at it, we recruit against most of these schools constantly. Why do i want the team i play every year throwing a crystal ball in the face of a recruit i want?

I always end up pulling for other SEC schools.
In some instances I tell myself that I am going to root for the opposing team such as Oregon over Auburn, but every time I end up pulling for SEC.
I cant help it, I'm one of those wacko SEC conference pride folks.

For me it goes Ole Miss, Miss.St, SEC and to hell with everyone else.
