Florida - LSU would be up here if Florida sucked less

FIFY

LSU went 8-5 last year.
UF would've been 8-5 if the 1st game wasn't canceled.

Nobody ever mentions this, plus the epic collapse against Carolina. 9-4 was right there, and Muschamp probably still has a job.

He has a job, just not the UF one.

Florida also dropped what was probably a wide open, game winning touchdown at the very end. I don't know how Muschamp didn't just pull out a flask right then and there

22 to 20 on the Field; had to forfeit the 1976 game, giving Kentucky a retro Co-SEC Title...

Now, if something drastic were to happen and Bama was forced to acquiesce to some of the more simple demands of the rest of the conference, like a nine game schedule

Uh, Saban and Bama have been lobbying for a nine game conference schedule for a couple of years. It's the rest of you whiny-arse bitches that don't want it.

That's true ... it does, I dunno why but it does.

We entered the SEC together and were matched up as permanent opponents, even though we'd never played a single game and were 900 miles apart. The only reason we ever had to dislike SC was when they hired Holtz and that wasn't really a big deal. Arkansas fans who made trips to Columbia always seemed to enjoy them, though.

Yea, I like Missouri. I always wanted to play them and they're much closer, so it makes sense.

I've always had strong feelings for LSU- (went to Tulane for a couple of years and had friends at LSU. I have mixed feelings about the rivalry to be honest.

For selfish reasons, I would like FL to play TAMU more.

Certainly. In fact, the only one I would have liked better would have been Bama, and we're not stealing them away from the Vols. But OM is a good cross-divisional rival. Not much hate yet, but lots of drama sometimes.

I'll take Arkansas every year on Thanksgiving weekend. Two comparable programs playing a "border" rivalry type game. In 20 years I would be willing to bet that the series is right around even too.

No. But Auburn's always going to have Georgia, Alabama's always going to have Tennessee and there's really no one else better to play than LSU I guess.

Playing Arkansas every season is a no win proposition for Mizzou. Either we beat them, and get no credit because we're supposed to beat a school like Arkansas, or we lose, and it is the end of the world because Mizzou should never lose to a school the caliber of Arkansas. There is no upside to playing them. I wish we could go back to playing A&M as our cross divisional rival.

I love that LSU plays Florida every year. So do all of my friends. We look forward to this home game and road game. I'm not sure you know what you are talking about just b/c a few complain on here.

#3. Florida - LSU would move into the 1 and 2 category here if LSU embraced this a little bit more.

I don't mind playing Florida in Tiger Stadium. I, like many opposing fans, absolutely hate travelling to Gainesville. It's the consistently worst away game experience in this conference.

So yes, I'd have to say I hate playing Florida for that reason.

Dont care one way or the other. Its not a rivalry, State is just an assigned game on our schedule.

Arkansas would actually make sense and would make a cross-division rivalry. Perhaps if Mizzou were in the West as they should be, we could make this happen.
