I'm happy that many Bama fans look foolish for the drivel they showed in the past, but upset that alabama has a modern offense with the best talent and a good play caller.

Seems like Kiffin knows he has a problem in the passing game and is trying to work on it during the game itself. Bama threw the ball for no reason on first down quite a bit.

Kiffin knows what he is doing and he also knew you guys could run the ball. He is working on the passing game during the games. I heard people bitching about Bama not running but I understand what he is trying to do. Working on the passing game in practice is not the same.

Yeah, but it's frustrating. If you pass on 1st down and it doesnt work, you're behind the chains the rest of the possession. I'd be willing to bet that the number of stalled possessions are in pretty close correlation to missed passing attempts on 1st down.

Hurts is ALWAYS late throwing the ball downfield. It doesn't looks like it's gotten any better yet.

i like the breath of fresh air but kiffin doesnt know when to stop passing the ball as often. somebody said it in another thread but its like he has an addiction to the pass sometimes.

I lost my voice on Saturday from screaming "RUN THE FOOTBALL KIFFIN" so much - I know he heard me because I was in row 14 right behind the damn bench. Get inside the damn 10 yrd line and he's still calling pass plays and we settle for FGs, when all the had to do was run Harris.

Was that the same thing he was doing during the OSU game?

I think he has been working on kinks in the passing game also. I know this sounds conceded but Lane knew we could run at will on the vols and Aggies so he dialed up passes to iron out some kinks. We still need more work.

Do I like it? Not really, but I freely admit that my feelings have more to do with what I like to watch than how productive it is. If Hurts could throw an accurate pass this would be the best Alabama offense of my lifetime in terms of production. It's nice to have a qb that can run, but I'd trade that for one that can pass any day.

No he cannot hit a 20 yard timing pattern cliff.

I like that the coaches adapted to what your QB does well. They get the most out of him and the offense. What I'm most impressed with is the d-line. Not sure if they are better, but they are more sudden. It is a a little intimidating. Not sure how our o-line stacks up.

Not seen that in years, especially against us.

Just messing, we love Hurts, he's a true freshman with a ton of upside.

Just curious what the rest of you think about it. Would you rather face the old school pro style that we previously ran or are you happy that we are a zone read team now?

I love good old fashioned power football, but your offense is more dangerous now.
