You frickers will be so sad when FL ST wins by 14 or more Auburn lost to LSU, and had to win vs GA and AL by miracle lucky plays. I can't wait to see the butt hurt.

To say AU had to have a miracle to beat UA is comical... If it had went to OT AU was running the ball at will...

NOT the same offensive juggernaut then as it was in late November and December. Auburn plays LSU at end of season in Baton Rouge they win by 10+. Every year someone gets hot at the end of the year and no one wants to play them... this year it is Auburn.

Auburn beats Free Shoes.

UGA I will give you as some luck (although we dominated them for almost the entire game), but nothing about the AL win was a miracle.

AU came back and punched LSU in the mouth in the 2nd half and your team was gasping for air at the end. LSU's offensive line hadn't yet perfected quitting like they did against Bama. If we play LSU today we win (even with Mett).

Enjoy the Outback Bowl.

Who knows what to expect from FSU, but there are plenty of reasons for Auburn to feel they've got a good shot:

1) Pattern of SEC teams being more physically and mentally prepared in title games

2) FSU's weak schedule

3) FSU's struggle against a top back

4) Auburn's experience in emotional, high-pressure games

5) Relative lack of finesse required for Auburn's offensive success

6) Youth/hype/distraction for FSU

I do think the blowouts are troubling, but I think there is a mental component that gets overlooked when an underpowered conference is so dominated by one team. I think Alabama has been helped by this when playing over matched but capable teams like Arky in previous years, where they just look terrified from kickoff forward.

Does Bama normally miss 4 FG?

How many missed FG returns win games by going for TDs? This is planned and happens a lot, does it?

Bama had the ball in your redzone about 4 times and no points.

At any point in the last 12 minutes - if they make a FG and the game is over.

LSU won because it was Auburn's first road trip with a QB who had only been on campus a few weeks. And rain.

And the rain... You forgot about the rain.

Boston College was close. How many yards did Andre Williams have. That will be key for FSU. They have to stop the run 50% of the time. If they can get a defensive score and go ahead big early then I don't think AU gets back in the game. I think if it stays close AU wins it in the end. When Winston starts to gain some momentum he's unstoppable. You gotta shut him down. Who does AU have that can cover Benjamin?

Didn't LSU play in the rain too?

Didn't Jeremy Hill run down your throats?

It was 21-0 and LSU let off the gas. Auburn started coming back and LSU scored again when they wanted to to push it back to a 3 TD lead. Auburn scored late.

The game was never in doubt and LSU started substituting liberally in the second half to give our freshmen experience.

LSU could have won that game by 5 TDs if they had kept the gas pedal down. And, if they do, that becomes a terrible loss that I am not sure that Auburn can recover from to play in the BCSNCG.

All of that said, I think that Auburn wins against FSU.

Chris Davis is a very underrated cover corner. Not sure he can shut Benjamin down though. Frankly, I'm as worried about O'Leary as I am Benjamin. We have to get pressure and force Winston to throw early and off balance to have a chance.

Poor execution =/= miracle for the other team.

Not recognizing that a fast return man for your opponent is on the field and leaving fat offensive linemen in the game (poor planning) =/= miracle for the other team

Those adjustments in the UGA game when you were up by 17 were quite impressive.

Which, flukishly, has been a common AU defensive theme ALL YEAR. Amazing how that luck has held out.

Auburn had some pretty sure dropped TDs, a TO, etc. Both sides really didn't play their best game.

Yes, but they didn't drop a snap on a punt.

Didn't Jeremy Hill run down your throats?

AU experimented with an unusual defense for 3 plays and that is where Hill got all of his yards.

Maybe, but AU was able to move the ball on the ground the entire game from start to finish. Unfortunately, Gus didn't trust the run game enough and kept calling passes (which were open but either dropped or the QB made bad throws).

No they couldn't have. Once we shifted back to our base D, LSU had to work for their points and yards.

Now do that transitive property thing for Clemson USC and UGA.
