I'll take the recent success and things I was actually alive for 10 times out of 10.

Anyhow, to answer the OP: Yes, when you play in the SEC West (as of the past decade) a division title is definitely meaningful.

This is the saddest statement I've seen on the rant

I have been to all the SECCGs we've lost and nothing about that should be celebrated.
It isn't the loss in Atlanta being celebrated. Its the season your team had in order to get there.

We don't hang a banner in Williams-Brice for getting our shite pushed in by Auburn in 2010, we hang a banner in recognition of a successful season that allowed us to get there. That's why there is a separate, more distinguished trophy given out for winning that game.

Man you are a clown. To be the top 2 teams in the SEC is like the top 5 in the country. That is something to be happy about.

Tell that to Bama fans. Wishful thinking, but no.

Okay Ill let 1/14 teams that. However for the other 13, they should definitely be celebrated.

Mizzou should celebrate. I wish LSU would celebrate. Success can sometimes create unrealistic expectations. I think Mizzou kicked arse last year. I hope they can continue. Better them than USC, Florida, Tennessee, etc.

I don't know man. I like Spurrier, too. He was The Miles of the SEC before Miles. In a lot of ways he helped the SEC become dominate at Florida. I have a lot of respect for Mizzou, too. They came in their second year and played pretty damn good. Alabama is the only team I want to fail, but that comes without saying.

This is similar to the Cardinals having a ring ceremony for winning the NL imo.
Winning the pennant in itself is a great achievement. Not a great comparison.

Meaningful? Only if you win them.

How is this even a question? Should it be bumper sticker worthy? No,

but frick yeah. Winning your division is literally the goal of every coach in the NCAA (if your conference has divisions, LDO) what you do after that is just a bonus.

It is a vital stepping stone to the NC and as well a watched game, at least in the SEC as the NC

No. It's just first loser if you don't win the conference.

Proof that division titles are worthless = even lowly Arkansas made it to Atlanta 3 times. also Mizzou won a division title

SEC championships go back to 1933, the division winners just goes back to 1992. On the other hand making ATL probably means your team is in pretty good shape. I guess it depends on what meaning you want to attach to it.

I think it's tacky in the stadium, but I have no problem with it in the complex or something like that
