Former Auburn wide receiver Ricardo Louis is one of 10 or 12 Browns players who did it after the stuff in Virginia, .He only did it one time as far as I know

Yeah this week the Browns ran out of the tunnel with dozens of cops, firefighters, military, and other first responders. All of them and the Browns mixed up and linked arms during the National Anthem to show that Cleveland is a "unified front"

And Michael Bennett is a former Big 12 player, so not sure why he's being mentioned.

I'd RA you for blatant racism and hatred ... but nah, that's what you want. That's what your pathetic arse would do were the roles reversed.

Whenever the left engages in offensive speech, we hear a lot of clucking about how we must respect freedom of speech. Whenever people engage in speech the left finds offensive, we instead hear a lot about "hate speech" and how it shouldn't be tolerated.

That's because few philosophies in the world are as bigoted as liberalism.

NFL needs to have the Anthem while the players are in the locker room. they can stand or kneel where the folks that pay their salaries can't see them do it. it might help the ratings come back up

not this year but last year Odell Beckham shook the hands of every member of the military before their game against Minnesota last year
quote:

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. took his own public stance toward the NFL's pre-game playing of the national anthem.

He embraced those who helped fans celebrate it.

Beckham told Sporting News he made it a point to try and shake the hand of every military member who held the giant American flag at U.S. Bank Stadium prior to Monday night’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.
It also makes Beckham especially grateful for the military because, “what they do allows us to live the way that we live."
"For someone to sacrifice everything that they have for others — just the concept of it — it gives me chills," said Beckham, pointing to the goose bumps that were raised on his left arm. "I don’t even know how to explain it. They sacrifice everything. It’s unselfish."

I guess we should have just stuck our head in the sand and let Britain have America. Doing nothing solves nothing

I know that I'm gonna get blasted, and I don't agree with the way these players are trying to make a statement. However, the handful of players who are making an on-field statement AND actually doing something to help the cause are leaps and bounds less annoying than those who are ONLY performing their little protest without actually doing anything to help the causes they believe in, well-founded in logic or not. I can handle someone being wrong and believing in the wrong things. It makes me want to puke when people SAY they believe in a cause but DO nothing for that cause.

I don't think you will get blasted for that.
That is fair enough. If you follow up words/beliefs with action then you have credibility even if people disagree with what you are doing (as long as what you are doing is legal and moral).

Maybe not here, but that's a pretty strong belief in some communities. The argument is that black people have never had the resources or superiority to impose oppressive socio-economic structures on white people. Black people can be prejudiced, bigoted, hateful but never racist.

I get this argument, not going to say I quite agree. One place I think it breaks down is relationships between minority groups where one has power over another in a community. For example I've personally sat in civic meetings where black leaders made stereotypical statements against Latinos that were verbatim or similar to things white racists say against blacks.
