You wouldn't like the outcome if revenue was shared as you suggest. Ole Miss would be poorer than you are currently.

If you want to be the next Big 12 you can do it this way

SEC and B1G are making money and stable because they both figured out a long time ago everyone has to be an equal member

ABSOLUTELY.
The SEC, like the NFL, has revenue sharing. It keeps all the teams afloat, including teams with small markets and/or poor W-L. This is smart. Baseball like the Big 12 does not revenue share. Yet somehow the Brewers are able to compete and make the plyaoffs, right?

The real reason the Big 12 will fold is that Texas has a sweet TV deal and will not abandon it. OK are idiots not to bolt to Pac 12, etc. They lose money every year b/c Texas wants the money from the Longhorn Network.

I got swamped at work and forgot I made this topic and I was half in the bag when I woke up. I really thought I'd get two "haha, frick you" replies and that was it. Turned out it was 42 down votes better than I expected

TV revenue should be reflective of the conference product as a whole. Equal revenue sharing is the way to go.

Logically, Ole Miss and Bama deserve more of the pie.

You are arguing to turn the SEC into a souped up Big 12. Unequal distributions cause a lot of problems.

The rest of the SEC would hardly notice it if Ole Miss decided to quit.

This is already happening but not with TV money. Successful teams move more product with jerseys, shirts, etc. T-shirt fans buy the products of teams that are winning or are on the rise.

I'm satisfied with the fact Bama gets a piece of the equestrian TV revenues without even having a horse on campus.

Bama gets the same share as Texas A&M which built an $80 million equistrian center.

Season ticket holders should be refunded the ticket price by the sec before checks are cut to the programs if the team loses any home games.

This is true, but it is peanuts compared with the tv money.
