Arkansas had some good teams, the talent at LSU could get them over the top. Bama thinks every coach is overrated because they have the almighty Saban. Gus, Dabo, Jimbo, Petrino, Herman, Orgeron, Stoops, they can't all be overrated, somebody has to be underrated at some point in time. I remember people used to say Phil Jackson was overrated bc he had Jordan and Kobe, so Saban is overrated bc he has a 100 five stars. if you have the best talent every year you should win every year, Saban must be overrated, start looking at his buyout Bama fans.

Was OC for undefeated Auburn.
Was OC for BCSNC LSU.
Neither offered him the HC job when it opened shortly after.

This one doesn't. I believe Tom Herman is the best option for LSU, followed by Jimbo, then Coach O.
I would be ok with either of those 3, but I believe Herman could see more success at LSU than Miles did during his tenure.

Many want Herman the Magical Mensa. But, this is LSU we're talking about, thus TAF/BOS//TPTB cronyism for a past LSU OC or it's current DL will win out over the call of the brightest young HC in all of NCAA Football..these two have plenty of buddies at LSU.
LSU doesn't have a Mal Moore to make the best hire available..it has a bunch of good ole boys that can and will botch the best possible scenario 9 of 10 times. And they love what they already know..which is Jimbo & Yaw Yaw.

Not trying to be a jerk but I don't think Jimbo is a great coach. Much like Miles he recruits well but undeperforms. Don't think his player development, game preparation, or in game coaching is all that great. He's like the opposite of Dantonio.

LSU hired Jimbo back in Sept. After the Wisconsin loss, LSU tightened up the terms and after the Auburn loss, shook Jimmy Sexton's hand on the hire. All this talk is moot.
PS- Go back and take a look at Jimbo's enthusiasm and focus since that period in time.
