He hasn't done it in 3 years, why do u think he can do it now. We have a good QB coming in this season but most of us don't think Les will let him play until JJ leaves.

My question is why would you assume we can get ther with a new qb as well and the answer is because LSu can absolutely depend on the run like we do becauser they are returning the exact same number of OL that we are and they will have a great defense as well. If they can get him not to make mistakes and be physical up front they will have as good a shot as Bama EXCEPT their sched is brutal next yr.

We could have won it all this year.

QB was not the reason for our 2 losses. Defense shite the bed on us twice.

Had defense played better in those 2 games, we would have the crystal ball.

I agree with all of this - and despite what an earlier Bama poster said, it didn't look to me like a bunch of LSU fans were mad about Bama's hype. It looks like the OP was, and most others logically agreed that Bama deserves just as much hype as the next team. I think LSU/Bama will be very similar teams next year, and the West will come down to our game.

Depends. Where is he taking us?

2nd or 3rd place in the SEC West? Yeah.

He is a decent kid and a good athlete. He is not consistent enough as a QB (many factors here) to lead us to an undefeated season and an SECCG.

Hope I am wrong. But I have just not seen that he can get it done week in and week out.

That is a lot of bitch-assing, salsa. Sounds like you are worried about LSU.

Good observations and I agree. LSU/BAMA should offer another great and exciting game for the fans yet again. Nice to read a quality post.

I like our chances of going all the way with a Senior Quarterback - Jordan Jefferson than a sophomore - AJ Mac.

Well Auburn 04 comes to mind. I know they didnt go the distance. I felt the same way about Campbell. shite I even thought we had the better qb in marcus randal until the 04 season started and Jason proved me wrong. Yes he had a diff OC every year so i dont know how that affected him, but he was clearly better his sr year than any of the previous years. So Im going to go out on a limb and say the OC or Qb coach in 04 helped him get over that hump by play calling and coaching. Something that could easily happen for JJ.

Campbell accounted for 2500 yds scored 11 tds his JR year and scored 23 his sr year.

JJ accounted for 2018 yds 14 tds his JR year.

Plays JJ= 332 for 6.07 yds/play
JC=366 for 6.8 yds/play

Auburn went 8-5, LSU went 11-2. So in my eyes JJ doesnt even have to improve that much. He improves by two 2tds and we were playing in ATL instead of Auburn.

The rotation will be Lee and Mett. Do you really see JJ coming in to win a game that Mett is struggling in? We saw at Arky how JJ plays in a high pressure game

JJ = Kodi Burns at this point

The rotation will be lee and mett? For all we know the rotation could be JJ and no one else. It could be Lee and JJ, it could be RS and no one else. I guess it really depends on what they plan on doing next year. Again we wont know until spring.
