Was a Mack Brown the best HC in Texas's history?

He and les have had similar careers.

In 5 years at LSU, Saban won a BCS title, 2 SEC titles, and an additional Sugar Bowl. In 11 seasons at LSU, Miles has won a BCS title, 2 SEC titles, and an additional Sugar Bowl.

BCS no longer exists and is no longer valid, SC was and always will be the champs of 03.

But of course a bama fan would be trying to have it both ways.

Of course he is the best in LSU history. If he had stayed he would have won 2 more NC's for a total of 3. Les has won the SEC once with his players. FACT!!!

LSU has had three great coaches: Paul Dietzel, Nick Saban and Les Miles. Dietzel and Saban had similar careers at LSU, and you'd have to call them equal if you only considered their LSU tenure. Miles would top them both.

If Miles can win another natty he'd clearly be the goat. If not it's dabsteable.

There's no other coach that even comes close to being better than Les at LSU

When he wins his 2nd NC, he'll be unanimously viewed as the best.

2011 delayed that distinction because of the miracle gift of Bama getting in the NC.

Listen, Dale, I know you're excited that you can use the women's bathroom at Target now, but that doesn't give you the right to be an unforgiveable count to everyone.

The fact that this is even a question or debate just shows you how retarded the LSU fan base is as a whole.

you want to say Saban is the best football coach that has ever coached at LSU, that's accurate.

no
That would be Paul Dietzel. Know your football history. Consider NFL HoF back and overall use of special "teams" in certain situations. He revolunized football in a short period of time and went on to the US Military Academy at West Point.
Dude was from the cradle of coaches and served as an assistant to greatest lineage of coaches, including Red Blaik who many consider the greatest ever, and Bryant when he was at UK. He could just flat out coach and was solid as a human being.

No way in hell about Miles. Saban, then Dietzel.

1. Les Miles

2. Nick Saban

3. Paul Dietzel

Tigah fans who think Cholly Mac was our best HC have a selective memory. Mac had some good years but our program was not a top 10 program for most of his tenure.
