Seems like something you'd see a lot in texas. Never met someone that wore one. Seems a little douchey.

It's more of military college thing that the University at large adopted.

I've noticed a LOT of people in South Carolina wear rings, regardless of wether it's USC, Clemson, The Citadel, CoC, etc. I see them everywhere.

I wear mine and its definitely the norm in the state.

Kinda shocked at all the no responses in this thread tbh

Makes a little more sense with a military component to it... if I wore a ring it would really just symbolize conning my way through classes for 5 years while I drank myself retarded.

Yeah, A&M is one of six Senior Military Colleges (think VMI, Citadel, etc.) who have, of course, a strong military history and traditions that are similar to what you'll find at the service academies. I'm on active duty now, and the term "ring knockers" refers to those who went to academies or SMCs.

Yeah how many MoH aggies are there now? We regular students rag on the corp a lot, but in reality, most of us have a lot of respect for what they put themselves through.

They do live the service academy life 24/7 but right in the middle of a college town. I'd get up for early class and see their companies running all over campus. Ain't nobody got time for that (and school/party.)

I'll also say that A&M wasn't a place that you could party all the time and still pass. I had way too many friends throw in the towel trying to balance the two.

I don't personally know any Aggie women, so I still don't know any SEC women who wear class rings.

I'd be more than happy to hang with Aggiebelle. Should we ever get rid of Alabama or LSU as our rotating West opponent and actually make it to College Station in the next decade it'd be a for sure thing.

I know scheduling is a nightmare, but I hope in the future we push to get a steady rotation of SEC East teams coming to CStat in the coming years. If anything for familiarity purposes.

And if we're in Aggieland for a UK game, you're more than welcome to hang with us!

I hope you're not referring to me. My O5 board is still 1-2 years away.

BTW, once again, ALL ROTC programs are limited by how many they can commission by federal law. Hell, this incoming West Point class will be barely above 720 due to the "right sizing" of the force.

I'll be in-zone for O-4 in the FY16 cycle. I'll be eligible next year, but they aren't taking anyone below zone in my designator (1830). My year group got pushed back an entire year due to "force shaping".

Assuming I survive the "purge" (Officer Separation Board for all Majors YG99-YG03 and Captains YG06-YG08), my BZ look is next year for O5, PZ in FY2016.

Truly the hardest thing about being in the Corps was knowing that you could quit at any time and be a regular student (well, I couldn't because I was on ROTC scholarship, but you get the point). Every Aggie Cadet thought about quitting at least twice a week the entire four years they were in uniform.

Well as someone who did quit ROTC (still fully intending to get a commission) I fully understand.
